Hopefully the Elites lose their rabbit legs and feet like what they have in Reach, and look more reminiscent of Halo 2's.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

This. Elites haven't looked the way they're supposed to since Halo 3, even then they were too hunched in Halo 3. Bring back the real Elites.

Looks are only the beginning of H3's fails. In H3, they are:

-way too heavy (as a Spartan II, I should be able to move them with ease without having to give them a nudge). Funny how they can move deployable covers by running up against them (after some time) but how I can't move them at all
-disobedient (they don't stay back with me and proceed on without me)
-sluggish in their movements yet absurdly fast in their diving animations. I no longer turn on Tough Luck because they already dive like crazy
-don't do their signature evasive maneuver unless you get them to turn on you
-lack berserking (except in certain cases. Turns out you need to get them to turn on you and have them jump over a supply case. The sad thing is, they don't even make any sounds at all)
-highly incompetent despite getting good weapons. They don't use those plasma rifles to kill, except on Easy, and they easily get wasted by the Flood. The Spec Ops Elites at the Shadow of Intent part of Floodgate get killed unless I kill all the Flood beforehand using my special sniping position. But even then, and even I arm them with swords, they end up sticking each other. When I got all of them to the Pure Forms part, they did well killing Pure Forms but got wasted by measly combat forms! I give the Elites brute shots and spikers for Hunter encounters (of course, I kill the Hunters myself with the laser or fuel rod gun), but for everything else, energy sword.

H3 Elites are the worst in the series (I would have said H2 Elites due to them often standing around like damage sponges but they were a lot more coordinated and tolerable. I also would have said Reach Elites but I've come to embrace Reach after every miserable moment I've had with H3's campaign).

Stupid -blam!- retarded AI!! Both friendly and enemy AI in H3 get on my nerves. And the dumb handicaps don't help:

-autoaim
-lunge
-kill stealing
-AI being killed off
-AI being deleted
-checkpoint system

I HATE Halo 3. Just now, I'm deleted it so I could get the Reach demo and get a taste (albeit corrupted) of CE on my Xbox 360 again.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Elite's better look like the Halo 2 Elites.

They have always looked best there, IMO. Tall, competent and fierce enemies.

That's because they were allies in Halo 3. Ally AIs always suck.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Guess fighting them for over 10 years just wasn't enough.

Not in CE, at least not intentionally.

In H3 and Reach, it is deliberate action. Sabotage!

CE marines driving Ghosts and plowing them into John 117 can be excused since friendly fire wasn't really developed and/or considered in CE. Even enemies could kill each other.

Now in H2, H3, and Reach, that's where friendly AI behavior is inexcusable. One of the most annoying things has to be invincible friendly AI one shotting the player if they betray allies. Also, how peculiar that friendly AI accidentally kill me and they get nothing but I kill them accidentally and they'll all over me. Sure, this was in CE but they followed me most of the time. In H2, I saw marines proceed without me and get wasted. In H3, I saw marines proceed without me and get wasted.

No longer am I the leader. Now I have to compete with Arby and Noble Team for kills. Now I have to do do all the work. But the worst part has to be that you can't get enemy AI to do the work for you. In CE, I led Hunters and Zealots all over the place, killing Flood with their contribution. Now the enemy AI prioritize the player and 2 way battles of Two Betrayals and The Maw are absent.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind friendly AI doing all the work if it made them feel smart. But now they have nothing to be proud of. It was an accomplishment for CE marines to kill an Elite major unscathed and I enjoyed observing them. Now friendly AI get pwned in seconds.

[in case you were wondering, some of these are based on the old but various threads about stupid AI that can be found in the Reach and Halo 3 forums. They were all great reads]

Frank O'Connor.

But, they'll be in Halo 4 in a different form.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

I have to say that whilst H2 Elites look good, the Anniversary Elites look the best so far. They look like the fierce warrior race they're supposed to be.

The question really is what is their role. Fighting or just in cutscenes.
Or in the new multiplayer story.

That's all totally legit. Especially about 3 or 4 way battles, those were freaking awesome! Hope to see that in Halo 4.

As for team mates betraying me, my first play though of Reach I died 9 times. Not one of those kills was by the Covenant, all 9 of them, literally, all 9 of them, were Jun sniping me in the back of the head out of nowhere. He's a TRAITOR!
