I'm still having the same problem I was having l ast night.

When I join games via the GameSpy lobby, I can play a while, then I get that network icon in the lower right part of the screen and I freeze. Then the screen goes black and a message comes up that says "network connection lost."

This does not seem to happen when I join via Direct IP, though tonight I could not get into the TUI server, but that just seemed to be full.

Edit: I just got on the MAW server via direct IP and played a few games with no problem.

Also, there does not seem to be many people playing, all of a sudden. When I go into the GameSpy lobby, this is what I see: http://www.simonjester.net/images/Picture_21.jpg, a few full servers and many empty ones. My filters are set for servers with less than 150 ping, CTF, and did not seem to change much when I changed the game types.

I wonder if there's a problem with GameSpy that keeps knocking people off after about 10 minutes of play? That might explain the empty servers.

I removed Halo and reinstalled it, but it did not seem to help.

I think the problem may stem from the last update for the system that I downloaded fron Apple, (I'm on a Mac). The update included a security patch, an update for Quicktime, and iTunes.

If you are using a Mac, go to their website and check out the discussion boards before downloading the update. People are having problems with it. I'd hold off for a while.

Edit:
I went on MacSoft's website and found a newer updater than I had. I installed it and all seems to be well. So the problems with the Apple updater don't seem to be related to the Halo problems I had.
