Subject: Selective posting

Roll the dice, try again.

Are you very selective with your posting? As time grows on, I notice more and more users are very selective on how many times they post. Ninjas and Bungie Employees for example may only average about 7 posts per month. Maybe. Mythix and Legendaries aren't far behind, especially the older ones - like 5+ years on Bnet.

I notice many community members catching onto this. While on most other websites you can see each others post count, over here on Bungie.net it seems to be the exact opposite. Or just hitting that magic number to make sure that others know that you're "still active".

Maybe I'm just over-thinking. It's a boring night.

50 PPD? Jesus. Are you on a mobile device at least?

Keep in mind that was in the summer. And lots of it was mobile, haha.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Occasionally i'll go on a posting spree of sorts, but i usually only post when i think it's necessary.

Blackness Confirmed. You've got soul.

The Ultimate Opinion.

I make sure to post a couple of times every few days. Don't want to go back to legendary.

  • 03.11.2012 7:48 PM PDT

I find myself posting a lot less than when I first started. Maybe it's because I've seen a lot of remade threads, so I'm not as anxious to always post in them.

I used to post for the sake of posting. Now I post when I want to say something.

I'd like to think that I refrain from posting whatever comes to mind now compared to my past self.

I post usually everyday, sometimes a lot when there's a lot of different threads and when I know the topic and are discussing it with people I can post in that one thread a lot sometimes. I try to make sure mine are always about the thread and stuff.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I usually post a couple of days, most of the time just in private groups.

Hyle had the spartan laser avatar as his original back in 08' and 09' before his spiker self came bout. it's all about phases.

I read a lot of topics (probably more than you think), but I am selective as to which one I will post in simply because I'm not interested in the topic. I guess after seeing the same topic over and over again you just stop posting in them.

Very True. I post in an original thread because its the first one and its new. Then if there's more its like why bother because you already said what you wanted to say.

Life?
I have the internet and Doctor Who; i don't need a life.

my highest PPD was 60 back in September.

it fluctuates from the late teens to the mid thirties usually, depending on whether i'm in all day or out doing stuff.

but i don't post 'selectively' as you say OP. i post when i want to post.

I post when I want to post, but yeah it's tiring having the same arguments / discussions with the same results over and over. I think it's natural that older members aren't going to participate as much in most threads due to that.

I'm trying to post less in stupid threads.

This may be correlated to the fact that I'm posting in the community forum more often now,
