Subject: Selective posting

"I'm uncomfortable."
-True Underdog
Young Grasshopper of The Year: ChorrizoTapatio 2012

A little bit of sausage, a little bit of hot sauce, a whole lot of awesome. Have a question? Ask me!
Chapter

OT: When I first started posting I was scared to post because I didn't want to get trolled on but now I'm pretty cool about it.
OP: I see a lot of Mythic and Legendary members post every day and I think employees and forum ninjas usually seem to post if the thread is interesting enough to do so.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

I read a lot of topics (probably more than you think), but I am selective as to which one I will post in simply because I'm not interested in the topic. I guess after seeing the same topic over and over again you just stop posting in them.
This.

Positive vibes.

Regardless of what this thread was originally about, it's all about Skibur now.

I used to post for the sake of posting. Now I post when I want to say something.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I kind of watch more how and where I post to avoid any bans. I've been a good boy lately, and I haven't touched the Flood in over a week.

Even when I did post there, I was starting to be careful where I posted. I'm definitely not as active as I used to be a couple years ago, but I think I still have a decent activity.

Dead Mans Hand-Always Loaded.

I WAS SOCK

I just post when I feel I have something to say... that or extreme boredom takes over from time to time.

Private groups definitely take the majority of my posts though.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I myself am very selective when it comes to posting in threads. If a thread doesn't interest me, I don't post in it.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

As I said before, I only post in topics of interest...

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

I seem to average about two posts a day, but all of them are in topics that I have a view of some consequential measure on and see either few people posting my view or few people posting my view sufficiently. I also almost respond with more than one line.

So yes, I would say that my posting is at least a little selective.

Are you very selective with your posting? As time grows on, I notice more and more users are very selective on how many times they post. Ninjas and Bungie Employees for example may only average about 7 posts per month. Maybe. Mythix and Legendaries aren't far behind, especially the older ones - like 5+ years on Bnet.

I notice many community members catching onto this. While on most other websites you can see each others post count, over here on Bungie.net it seems to be the exact opposite. Or just hitting that magic number to make sure that others know that you're "still active".

Maybe I'm just over-thinking. It's a boring night.

I've been doing a lot more browsing than posting.
