SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE!
I have sent multiple messages and emails to everyone I was refered to, but to no avail. I'm sure someone with "power" is reading this, and if so, heres the latest letter I sent.
I have previously contacted you regarding this matter, but I understand how busy you are, so I will refresh your memory. I am a senior attending Eastern Sierra Academy, a small high school in the mountains of California, which, despite having only twenty-two students, was ranked the top high school in California by Newsweek, and the number seven school in the country. We are able to get such excellent rankings by maintaining a rigorous and challenging curriculum, which pushes students and focuses on college preparation. This thorough preparation has allowed our alumni to flourish in such colleges as Williams, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, CalBaptist, Biola, Cal Poly, and many others. I myself am applying, and expect to be accepted into Harvard, Amherst, and Grinnell. I have also been honored with the University of California’s Eligibility in Local Context program, which guarantees my admission into a UC.
As part of the aforementioned rigorous curriculum, all students are required to complete a senior thesis research paper to be able to graduate. This subject of the paper is a career of the students choosing, and as part of the research, students must interview someone currently working in their career of interest. Students must also conduct a job shadow of the person, to learn first-hand what is necessary to be successful in their chosen career. Meeting this requirement will be quite a challenge for me; doing my paper on video game design necessitates my finding someone currently working as a game designer to interview and job shadow, but as I have already said, I live far from any town of significant size, let alone an active game studio. I am sure you see my dilemma. However, the interview can be conducted either by phone or email, and with the completion of Halo 2, I was hoping somebody from Bungie would be kind enough to take a small amount of time out of their busy schedule to answer some of my questions. Also, I will be in Seattle for a week in late November, and would be eternally grateful if there would be some way for me to conduct my job shadow at Bungie Studios during that time. I understand that this may be impossible, but would be appreciative of any level of assistance you could give me.
Yours in Thanks,
Ian Bone-Rundle
