This multiplayer game idea I'm cooking up is inspired somewhat by WoW's Alterac Valley. The game would combine all multiplayer game variants of Halo/Halo 2 into a big Team A vs. Team B match.

Here's a rundown:
1. One HUGE level - I'm thinking of probably 3x Coagulation in width, and roughly double the length. It would, of course, be much more populated with rocks, trees, hills, pathways, underground facilities and tunnels - and of course, plenty of vehicles.
2. 32-64 players per game. It would really only work with a buttload of players on each team - as there are multiple objectives - so the game wouldn't start with less than 14 players per team.
3. Gameplay is complicated - think Slayer, wrapped around CTF, Assault, Oddball, and Territories - all at the same time.

Here's how it would work:
Each team starts at 0 points - the game goes to 1000 for the win.

Slayer Element: All kills are worth 1 point. Double and Triple Kills add a bonus to your score. 1 point per kill + X points per medal (Double = 2, Triple = 3, et cetera).

CTF Element:
Each team has one massive base (about the size of 2 Hang'em Highs) that contains 3 Flags. Each flag capture is worth 50 points. Once a flag is gone, it's gone until you return it from their base's "Trophy Case" or until they capture all three of your flags (-100 points from your team).

The Trophy Case is a room set deep within the enemy team's base. It's not actually a case - but a pedestal where your flag sits as an honored prize. Steal the flag back for a 25 point score for your team.

Assault Element:
This base also has three bomb-arming locations. Bombs detonated kill all players in the vicinity, are worth 25 points each, but are also located near three key areas (all which can be repaired):
.................A) Infirmary - detonating a bomb in this area doubles the respawn time of players on enemy team. If the game starts at a 10 second respawn, the enemy team would have to wait 20 seconds to respawn.
.................B) Garage - detonating a bomb here would freeze vehicle production - the enemy team would have to repair the area (via a console unit - think of Zanzibar's gate-opening console) in order for Vehicles to respawn.
.................C) Recon - A bomb detonated here would turn off all Motion Trackers for your team.
.......Repairing Areas: One player would have to endure the Simon-Sez memorization style game, 20 seconds in length (A... AB.... ABX.... ABXY... ABXYA... ABXYAY...).

Oddball Element:
Each base has a central console unit with three pedestals. There are three Oddballs spread out through the level, having one will get you one point every three seconds. Having two will get you two points every three seconds. These can be held by players, or on the pedestals for gaining points.

Once you get the third Oddball on the pedestal, you can step to the console unit, press "X", and bring up a world-map that shows the location of every enemy player and vehicle - and call in an aerial strike (a bombardment of missiles from the skies above that kill all in the strike range). Once you initiate the aeriel artillery strike, the oddballs disappear for 30 seconds, then reappear randomly on the map.

Territories Element:
Spread out through this massive map are 7 territories. These territories work as spawn points (a la Battlefield 2). Capturing a territory will net you 2 points, neutralizing will get you 1 point.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, this game would cater to every kind of player. The objective based players (Capturing Flags, Oddballs and Assaulting bases) and the Slayer nuts.
