ive heard in a few posts about how the elites are on our side (human side) in this war but master cheif might not no because the Sgt. who helps the arbitor didnt tell headquarters yet and plus if u play the level where u help the humans when ur the arbitor they really never say to each other "lets join forces" arbitor as really just been against the covenints actions of how the butes becaome the guards and all that junk thats why he's helping the humans stop the leader of the brutes from getting that weird looking stick. So that might just of been a one time thing when the humans and the covanants joined together, but the rest of the covanants fleet are all still against the humans.

I dunno... there was some serious civil warring goin on within the covenant at the end of Halo 2... so, that had to be resolved somehow. And if the Elites had been cast aside by the Prophets, then who better to lead them than thier own brother, the Holy Arbiter? Considering the Aribiter is such an emminent figure amongst the Covenants, and since the Elites have such a strong feeling of pride and brotherhood, I think they would definitely listen to what he has to say... and he wants to stop the Prophets, the Humans want to stop the Prophets... so... join forces?
