Foot prints whould be sweat, I whould say make them last as long as bullet holes or some thing?

Caues a person in halo/2 I noticed can only have so many till there older holes vanish hopefully when no on is looking.

I think this is a very good idea, so simple yet so great!

Footprints would kill the Sniper Rifle. No. Maybe footprints in levels like Zanzibar that disovle after a few seconds....if you mean adding footprints to put more reality in the game then I guess I can agree with you. But if you mean footprints to add strategy, then just NO.

Not rely, caues by walking over stones whould stop makeing them, it whould also add more skill needed to snipe.

And it whould be as if you see every foot print from the starting of the match till the end.

its like a large force of win going through fusion, thus creating a chain reaction of a huge asplosion of win destroying any fail within its awesomeness.

Gamer Tag - Mjolnir Hero

That would be pretty sweet...

That is an excellent idea... Of course if should depend on what type of terrain Master Chief is walking on. Metal wouldn't create any footprints, but maybe sand, dirt, snow, or even grass could have a footprint system.
I agree on terms, it would make the game realistic, it would be tactical(although people will figure out really quick how to keep from being followed like that). And should wear away because like bullet holes, will make the 360 load to much, plus it would be really stupid to see 100's of prints everywhere.

And there was vehicle tracks in Halo 1? on ice maybe(temporarily), but that was pretty much it as I remember.

Halo's a hell of a drug.

Makes sense.

  • 05.25.2006 5:52 PM PDT

Master Chief should leave green footprints and the aliens should leave purple footprints. Or maybe MC could leave red footprints.

Stop Telling Me To Veto

That wouldn't make any sense. They should just be a impression in the ground like a normal footprint.

it should be toggleable, and then you can turn them off if you want for "classic" gameplay

footprints...*smacks forehead*

how did i not think of that? i mean, come on...this master chief guy is supposed to weigh a ton, it's not like he's not going to leave a mark on the ground!

the only problem is, think about how much running around you do. wouldn't footprints on soily/mushy ground get a little out of control? especially if it were a big team kind of game on a big level like coagulation.

i still think it's a cool idea, though. now if only grenades would leave some small craters, bungie might have a halfway decent game. ;)

The original Metal Gear Sold springs to mind...

"huh whos foot prints are these?"
"oh its just a box"
"huh-it's just a box"
(repeat cycle for as long as is comicly acceptable)

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

yay! footprints!
it's just like cabela's dangerous hunts!
(probbably. i ve never played it. it's the only hunting game i can think of. i don't even know if it even has footprints)

I would really like more interactive dirt. I would love to see big gouges in the earth when you bottom out a ghost or roll a warthog. You could use rockets or grenades in the right places to make little holes that could cause an enemies warthog to roll over or at least have to slow down to cross without crashing.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

interactive dirt!
wow!
i'm not mocking you, i honestly think that's a good idea (except for the way you called it "interactive dirt")

Stop Telling Me To Veto

Yeah that could be cool, it could add a trench like strategy to the game.

When I think of this idea, I think of how cool it would've been to follow an enemy's footprints into the caves in Blood Gulch in Halo. Lmao. That's waaaay tight. Way to be creative dude. This is one of the best ideas I've heard in a while.
