I think it's a great idea, but I don't think it would make a bit of difference in a game as fast-paced as Halo...perhaps in 1v1/2v2 (especially when you play those people who get up one point and then hide.) But in a game with 8-16 players, footprints would just be silly, and the guy trying to follow said footprints would be easily sniped/beatdown/naded/etc.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

add a stealth...
use it in phantoms!
have a footprint on/off toggle at the options

if they put in the footprints concept, then they should make someone with active camo completly invisible. you would only see footprints appearing, that'd be awesome.

An easy way to get someperson to stop following your footprints would just be walking backwords for a little then they would follow where u were earlier not where u are now

I think that whenever someone is walking in the game they should leave an impression in the dirt or snow or whatever from where their feet touch the ground.

I like how the active camo is now, but having footprints would make it easier to find in a shadowy area, like the cave side of Coagulation.

You could use this to trap people, but I agree with the people who said that if there were a lot of people it would just be stupid. Imagine at the end of 16 person battle, they would just be useless. Good idea though

id only like it if you left footprints after you stepped in blood or water and you would slowly stop leaving them as the blood dried on your foot...

A simple, yet amazing and thought-provoking idea.

The hover beams should leave tracks... and flying low with longswords/banshees should also leave tracks...

"Interactive Dirt".... Genious!!!!!

That would open up a whole new realm of possibilities...
You could build sand castles in the middle of level, the enemy would be meandering around and just stop and stare at that simple creation, thinking "WTF?", at which point you would land a fatal blow to the back of their head.
