Defiled. - Plagued by imbalance and false difficulty. From where? You guessed it. The Halo games that came after CE.
Corrupted. - Characterized by unnecessary changes (nerfing friendly AI, Brutes can't be assassinated if they've seen you, Elites all look distinct rather than being recolors but why are the Majors orange? What the hell are Generals? Where are the sword pulling Ultras?) and unfit changes (armor abilities, bloom although I'm not really bothered by these changes as much as I'm by how Reach didn't fix some things that were in H2, H3, etc. Seriously, rocket launcher troopers don't even try to back away when confronted with an enemy who's beating them up).
Abomination. - A great insult to CE. It captured half of it which is why I consider it half Halo.

More reasons:
-Zealots get a new armor coloring with a new role (I suppose this is better than having them as Ultra Elite copies but I dislike their portrayal as deceitful enemies). Furthermore, their AI seems to be more like team members than the crazy leaping, Flood killing badasses they are known for.
-Pistol. It's capped.
-Plasma rifle. It's useful again but it sucks against flesh. I liked using plasma rifles to get kills in CE.
Up until I got the Reach demo, I really, really wanted Reach and I was really, really excited for Reach. Then I got the demo and I was appalled. This isn't anything like CE. This is horrible. All the things I loved about CE are now distortions!!
