I enjoy it a lot. I like all the crazy theories and wish list. A lot of great ideas come out of the boards. *weep* Plus the closer we get to the release date it's like Christmas eve or waiting for summer vacation. I was kind of sad when Halo 2 came out and Bungie said no Halo 3 because it kind of killed all the buzz.

Look for the signs, the keepers of the flame.
They will lead you to war, and perhaps, to victory.

Finish the Fight

I also find the wait to be a painful joy. Anticipation is half the fun, and indeed, it seems we will never get this chance to wait for another Halo game again. I also like to look at some of the cool ideas sprouted from the forums [I've read them for a while now, but only recently joined.] but I hate hearing ANYTHING having to do with story elements or even possible story theories. Knowing my luck, that will be the one thing that gets spoiled for me or something like that. :)

Love it. If Halo 3 came out today sure that would be kool, but waiting for it and talking about it is really fun.

Yes and No, I like it cause it keeps me interested. But on the other hand, whenever I go on the internet to do research or something, I always end up going on bungie.net cause im so interested if there is a new update or something. It sucks, lol

But yes, I like it !

Yes and No.
I mean, its fun getting hyped, but Halo 2 is at the bottom of its life, and we need a new Halo to obsess over!

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

i think anticipation is a good thing, however the build-up of exitement tends to dwindle when the realization of all that anticipation is what could be a full 12 months away.

The last man on Earth sat in a room, there came a knock at the door.

Service Record

Definately.

Unfortunately, like Halo 2, I think the journey will be better than the destination.

You know a game was overhyped when: You had roughly 4 times as much fun waiting for the game as you did playing the game (Halo 2).

Yeah, the suspense before Halo 2 came out was awesome... If only with Halo 3, the game will be as fun as the year waiting for the game.

Think about the level of excitement when seeing a new screenshot before Halo 3 comes out.

Now think about the level of excitement when seeing a new screenshot after Halo 3 comes out.

(point being, i like the anticipation.)

Yes, but I'd love it if Bungie threw up a render of something that is completely innocuous with the H3 engine, like a rock or a tree. No one would be dissapointed if a rock changed (in fact, many, many rocks are expected for variation), and it would show us something in the new engine besides the Chief and some ships. As a bonus, with the high-resolution graphics, tiny clues could be hidden all over the rock for us to look for. Everyone wins.
