I certainly can't. The fact is infallible and unmistakable (please forgive my spelling). Who here agrees? And does anyone want to take a shot at this one? If so, speak now.

P.S. I used to be Precious Roy. BUT NO LONGER!!!

Ahh I see, proven, the subject is too long for itself.

Can I say that life's origin can be proven?
And apparently it is a fact that lifes origin cannot be proven?

This is an odd question here.

Well if you want me to tell you what I think life's origin is, I would have to relay that to my scientist part of my brain. The origin of life, on earth, is due to the existence of water, carbon, nitrogen and just the right amount of iron, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and a whole slew of elements, in just the right amounts, combined with the electrical energy from persistant lighting storms, the perfect distance between the planet and it's solar body (duh the sun), the magnetic field of the earth deflecting horrible gamma rays... There are too many reasons why life originated.

Proven. Unfortunately, the forum topic bar can't fit all of that. Now, your answer please.

Yeah, the origin of life was most likely a bunch of simple protien molecules that managed to form into enzyme like structures, with the ability to transform chemical energy into physical movement of some kind. There is no definitive answer, but we know for a fact that the first living things were very simple. There are some who say that mitochondria-like structures might have predated single cell algae-like structures. Who is to say? Whatever it is it happned roughly a billion years ago.

Correct. The origin of life could only be proven if we get a record from some folks like the Forerunner. Of course, the best guess right now is what 777 said.
