An opportunity to critique the newly rejuvenated avatars of choice of an assortment of members with moderator privileges, you say? I shall do my best to deliver a truly unbiased review, my good fellows.
Slayer
A demonstration of lighting techniques to affect the display of an otherwise static cartoon image? Fine work, indeed. But unfortunately, I must say that I gradually lost my interest within several seconds of watching the lights flashing to and fro. This "m" exhibited on the character's headgear is quite intriguing. Subtle yet effective in drawing attention. And achieving "master" moderation status is an indubitably remarkable feat, I tip my hat to you, sir.
BobBQA take on the classic "James Bond" introductory sequence. The lack of blood falling from the observer's first person perspective in a wave motion is unfortunate and the intensifying red colouration shown isn't quite as exciting. Although the depiction of a fellow, divided into several states of evolution it would seem is quite unusual but nonetheless interesting to look at.
Bobcast
Ah, Bobcast. Everyone's favourite mother evaluator! This avatar imagery is not improved upon considerably but one should fret not as it is still an impressive piece of work. Combining originality with attention to detail, and not to mention humerous effect, this choice is excellent.
El Roboto
This work of artistic excellence is one of my favourites, I can assure you. A portrayal of a civilised gentleman but with a bizarre twist. This fellow is in a mechanised state! Although it is an exceptionally accurate depiction of what a robotic gentleman should aspire to be like, the absence of a cup of tea is quite a shame.
Butane
Most unimaginative my dear friend. I don't mean to offend in any way but our tastes in fine imagery differ substantially, it is clear. But it is not all bad. The photographic quality is most prestigious bearing in mind teh technological limitations. I wish you well in your future image-related endeavours.
Dr Weird Dr. Weird? An odd name but not the time for critiquing names, eh old chap?! This avatar is exceptional in most respects. An exemplary cartoonist would create such brilliance. Yet the relatively pixelated piece of work isn't perfect. Jolly good effort, though.
Tom T
A marvellous depiction! Truly unparalleled excellence. This picture is glorious to behold. A delightful mix of colours and fantastically executed picture. The illusion of an eye is represented and is most thought provoking on a philosophical level.
Qbix, lol
A distinguishing image, indeed. Intimidating, almost. Yet the static and uninspired black background leaves much to be desired. Many subtle brush strokes could have greatly improved this unique piece of work!
True Underdog, very original
In keeping with your name and presumably your good and true gentlemanly outlook on life, this display is most suitable. A black and white depiction of an already well-known user avatar. The alternation of tone is pleasing to the eye and thought provoking. Keep your unique style, good fellow! Never let it fade from history!
Borrowed Chief and the winner's avatarWe now come to a chief who is assumed to be of the borrowed variety. Although I am in fact evaluating someone else's art! A combination of imagery from two vastly different entertainment medias. The "darth vader" helmet is well suited for the stance and pose of the body from "red dead redemption" and so I must congratulate you, good sir. You are well deserving of our praise.
Duardo
A clear depiction of work created with the intention of provoking thought and conveying a sense of mystery. The depiction is nice to look at but may simply come across as unusual to the uncultured individual.
Evil cam and a septagon on fire. o_0
An excellently made picture. The flame-like colours used are most well done. The picture creates the illusion of a face, looking rather evil, in keeping with your name, old chap. The sudden shaking effect of the image will most certainly give people a fright, though!
Nedus is a FOUL PARTY BACHELOR FROG?!?
An uncommon approach indeed. The use of an internet "meme" is quite unexpected and unnecessary in my personal and humble opinion. Although the text reflects a real life issue. Together we can help stop pointless gold text quoting. You have my personal respect for spreading awareness of this.
Some fantastic avatars, gentlemen! See you on the side where the star systems may reside!
