If I ever had my Mythic taken away I would leave ASAP.

Um...

Irony?
<.<

Just received Mythic for the first time (posted that when I was a Legendary), kind of terrible timing actually... it completely ruined the joke.

Haha, cue the countdown to Commanders departure.

I'm just curious to see if my particular title gets removed.

I wouldn't mind it if all titles were removed or altered entirely, but I would have fond memories.

They can take our titles, but they can never take...our posting habits!

Mythic means too much. I would instantly leave due to my lack of superiority.

this sarcasm is funny because it's not even really sarcasm

almost all of the mythic members on this site take this site extremely serious and getting banned (and causing them to lose their title) is very important to them

19/20 mythic members need to take the internet less serious or just leave
Most mythics seriously don't give a -blam!- about their title.

You're just like all the other vanilla members who fabricate nonexistent elitism in your head.

No, I don't. Read their posts. Most have an extremely elitist attitude. I have friends in the mythic group and they tell me it's basically just them -blam!- each other off. I also know about 10 people, who as soon as their titles hit mythic, began posting in a way not to ever get banned. I'm talking people who used talking people who used to get banned every week for trolling. Mythic changes people. As soon as a person hits mythic they begin start to care about their titles. Let's not forget about numerous notable members flipping out on forum ninjas in private messages over bans causing them to lose their titles. They care, and it's funny.
Show me an example of Mythic elitism that isn't a joke or satire.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

They either want us or want to be us, John. No use kicking against the brick wall.

you act like i archive what other people post, etc

skibur is one well known example

hell, he makes rude comments and PM to Foman in anger all the time

Foman doesn't even acknowledge him so he rages even harder
How do you know what PMs Foman receives?

And if the situation is as bad as you say it is you should be able to poke around the pages of the threads on the first page of the Septagon and find one or two examples.

Once upon a time I was a Mythic and I'm still here so...

Here's a life-lesson for you, and anyone else who has issues with members with Mythic titles.

-We never signed any contract or agreement to behave in any way other than the way we have been for the past several years.
-We don't have any obligation to fulfill some grandiose agenda of mentoring new members more than anyone else.
-If you see the Mythic bar as a status symbol, that is your problem, not ours. Communication is a two-way street, and making a connection between the title bar and the post content is as much the reader's fault as it is the author's.

I'm really getting irritated with all this Mythic mess. I've been mostly the same for the past six years; I got a nice blue bar so I must be doing something right thus I'm not going to change that behavior. If moderator or site admin feels my behavior is not kosher, then they can contact me via PM and tell me straight. Until then, good day sir.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

It's been at least a year since he last had Mythic. He lasted 5 days off a 3 month ban, then got himself another month.

Hehehe you think Skibur is representative of Mythix.

(He is though we all take our blue very seriously.)

Definitely sarcasm on my end. Yes, I enjoy being here long enough and being mature enough to have the "hardest to achieve" title but that has no bearing on why I'm here.

I love the site for the site, many members in this forum could vouch for me there. I'm a good guy Mythic ;)

private groups

the undeserved sense of superiority in the last several posts is astounding
How are they acting superior by pointing out that Skibur is not a proper median representation of the personality of Mythic Members?

You really need to learn what some of the words you're using mean before you use them.

I think confererateghad is correct. Guys we've been taking it all too seriously. I think that we should start a new boobs thread, one that actually features female breasts and not just the pictures of that weird looking bird like last time.

I'd be a true mythic by taking it like a man.
At least what I would do is something considerably reasonable like a true men would do.
