Does one require a college degree if we wish to apply for Bungie?
From Nate's comments above, it sounds as if college is not an absolute requirement. Sometimes, the world can teach us lessons that are more valuable than ones that can be gleaned from term papers and such. At the risk of feeling terribly irresponsible, I must provide college with my highest recommendation. Where else can you live in a city that is dominated by people your own age? College is like Xbox LIVE, only with beer.
So you (Bungie) favor experience over education? We all need an education, but you would rather hire someone who has worked extensively on/in an area of game development and has the experience over someone who's barely touched something other than just the game itself. But college is recommended so as to look better on our application. Right?
When I answered that question it meant just that, college didn't help me as much as it would others.
Asking for a definite answer to your question will fall on deaf ears, I'm afraid, as the answer you seek to be provided is relative.
Education has aided all of my fellow co-workers get into Bungie, but whether or not that was provided by an institution is where variety rears its head.
