If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

You will drown for eternity.

I understand that you intend to target a possible more sophisticated audience in this forum but I believe this is more fit for The Flood because of the nature of the discussion.

I'm not trying to be Mr. Mod here but you could argue that it's off-topic for the nature of the forum.

I have no problem with it as a member, I quite like the riddle.

I see it as a paradox.

That to...

I just thought of a paradox lol

The liar is telling the truth
But the truth is a lie,
So he's lieing, but he's telling the truth....so

  • 03.16.2012 4:11 PM PDT

You would drown but you wouldn't die, just endless drowning.

Does a magical box containing every box contain itself?

Jack of all trades, master of none.

You couldn't drown. Considering this is a pool of eternity, it probably wont contain normal water, and therefore will not kill you if breathed in.

What's up with all the -blam!-ing negativity?
Stop it.

That's not a paadox, that's lieing.

The OP however, would be an endless cycle of torment.

Though the morrow may be barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.

To answer your riddle, this person would simply drown for eternity. Drowning doesn't nessecarily mean dying.

That isn't really lying per say. Although a paradox would be more along the lines of..

The sentence below is false.
The sentence above is true.

I'd say no as eternal life is not a liquid

A pool contains water, this water is what gave you eternal life
