lolNo. He was being sarcastic, I'd hope. That processor's crap and won't run anything well, let alone a game as horribly unoptimized as H2V.He's not talking about Halo 2 Vista. He's talking about Combat Evolved. That processor is more than enough to run Halo: Combat Evolved at a higher quality than what is found on the Xbox version.
Debatable. I ran a single-core 2.8GHz processor and it choked hardcore on anything above the lowest settings on 640x480.
Was this a Celeron buy any chance? If yes then that's expected, back in the day I had that issue with a 2.8ghz Celeron until i replaced it with a Pentium 4 2.8ghz, where it then worked flawlessly. If not, then that is very strange as to why you got that performance.
Yeah, actually it was a Celeron. Dunno why it would make that much of a difference, though.
Celerons were missing something found in the Pentium 4's known as the Maths co processor or something like that. It was needed for intensive 3D applications which is why they never performed well with games back in the day.
