Lol So tell me what started this thing where you press your joy stick up and down on the other players body? I would Like to know? Was it halo that started the tea bagging? I wonder what the first person that got tea bagged thought when it happened?

Something along these lines.. Probably before quake. I bet when the first game ever to feature crouching was released, people made the connection.

If I'm not mistaken, tea bagging in general originated at a time when there were no mic systems.

In halo in particular, Halo CE had "proximity voice", so when you were teabagging your enemy, they could also hear you trash talking them despite being on the opposite team.

Ah... the xbox connect days.

Borderlands is one of my favorite games because of that feature. When you crouch up and own an icon shows you teabagging as well.

I doubt it started in Halo but the franchise is definitely associated with popularizing the activity.

In those days it was referred as "celebratory crouching". And you were forbidden to do it unless in the presence of unquestionable ownage.

The first online multiplayer game was doom but you couldn't crouch in it.

Enjoy it while you can, with instant respawn in Halo 4 it won't be possible from what I have read over at Waypoint.

instant respawn sucks... the gaming community already knows that, so why doesn't 343?
