This is a very inspiring article which just goes to show that college is not a must and nor should it be.
I sometimes wonder if I should go the self taught method... I know that I'm currently (sort of) doing online university courses, but it's not the same as being truly self taught, you're still on a pre-set curriculem of assignments and such. I personally find the idea that I'm getting graded on some stuff kind of terrifying at times.
Sometimes you need that, but when you can create your own tests to test yourself you can often actually come out better, and I think what I dislike about formal testing most is that I'm the kind of guy who doens't like studying, I'd rather just look stuff up on the fly when I need to, if I'm doing something on a regular basis I'll remember it anyways.
But like, all those tests you do in elementary school/high school how much of that do you actually end up using and remembering, I mean it obviously depends on what career you go into, but I don't remember half the stuff we learned about like... Nunavut in grade 4, my grade 4 teacher had us spend like half the year learning about Nunvaut.
Again kudos to Nate!
