Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I had the idea a few days ago to construct a timeline of Bungie related events. This was originally going to be a private project and going to be presented to the community when finished. However I decided that I wanted to do more than just a short timeline of Bungie themselves and I wanted to make it a community thing.

The timeline will hopefully include not only events directly relating to Bungie but events relating to the greater community. These events can be on-line both in game and the web or they could be real life events that have happened that has forged the now current community.

Some examples of events could be the start of Red vs Blue, the release of a game, a certain milestone reached in a game, an upgrade to the forums or website. The list goes on.

So this is where the community comes in. I am happy to construct the timeline but collecting of the information will be a bit difficult. So I ask that if anyone has anything they would like to add to the timeline that would be suitable, post it here. It would also be helpful that when posting an event you have the exact date.

Here is what I have so far. Also if anyone has any suggestions of other ways of making the timeline that could be better I would love to hear.

I've been here a decent amount of time to know you're all crazy

With a little work, this could look great and be very helpful. Keep it up! Nice job

I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

Would it be possible to open the timeline up to the community, sort of like Wikipedia? It'd be cool to let people add what they need. Grab a few community members to 'moderate' the timeline (remove silly things, incorrect data, etc)... that'd be fun!

If not, that's cool. Just post in here, yeah?

You need an account to make and edit the timeline. The account is currently linked to my e-mail. I could change the e-mail address and let a few trusted members in to the account but not the whole community.

There are timeline making websites out there [url=http://www.tiki-toki.com/]such as this one that allows for the community to edit the timeline. However that feature is only available if you pay. I'm thinking of switching to that website anyway as it looks better.

Yeah just post your information here.

I need some opinions though.

Would you prefer this website over the current one?

"You dead yet? No? You will be!"

"How you like them pears? Guess what I mean by pears."

"I'm gonna rip off his partridge and kick him in the pear tree!"

Why'd you have to use a website with the word 'toast' in it?

Forgetting Reach?

Looks nice! I think it would be pretty useful.

That might have been intentional...

I quite like the current one, I like how you can switch between the text version and the actual timeline.
