"If something is easy, broken, cheap or can be abused, majority of the population will support it as a legit and or skilled concept/idea. Whatever people like and or love, they will thrive on it because no matter how broken it maybe, they do not like change."

Question is as. Note I said When you got your copy, not When you first heard about it.

I'd like to gather first hand thoughts.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I was eager to experience an expansion on the story in Fall of Reach with epic missions and massive Spartan-Covenant engagements.

Boy, was I disappointed.

Pretty sure Halo;Reach has the biggest battles out of all the Halo games. Not as big as hoped for, but Halo;Reach campaign was still pretty amazing.

-Bungie

I really hope this doesn't suck as much as the beta.

Big battles? lmao yeah big battles that you don't take part in. Tip of The Spear turned into nothing but a side mission taking out AA's for a larger battle that you don't even take part in but only get to see from the sidelines. The only mission worthy of recognition in this joke of a Campaign would be Long Night of Solace. Other than that, lolreachcampaign.

OT: Forge impressed me a lot at first. They made a lot of big improvements and changes within the item placement system.

Trust me, I'm a campaign guy, and honestly will buy games just for there campaigns. Halo;reach has the biggest amount of enemies at one time.

Yup, lets forgot everything else and focus on that fact that missions had buttons in them.

Its people like you that need to think.

The start of Tip of the Spear, how would it play out? Bungie would have to spend MONTHS developing and testing it to be a playable section of the game, only for a 15 second drive to a bridge. It works out much better as an opening cutscene for the level.

Gamers are just idiots these days, and will complain about everything without even thinking. Im not saying the campaign is perfect, but its still superb.

Are you implying that I'm not?

Halo;reach has the biggest amount of enemies at one time.

While I seriously doubt this, more enemies =/= more epic battle.

Yup, lets forgot everything else

There's nothing in Reach worth remembering.

A testament to piss-poor mission design. This isn't Doom where the mission ending doesn't really matter.

I read your username and found your comment ironic. Bungie had enough time to make a good campaign. Tip of the Spear was supposed to be this big epic battle between you and the Covenant with the UNSC by you side including your whole team. Well then, where the -blam!- was your team? They just leave you with Kat. The marines all got killed on the bridge. Bungie used them for a cutscene. Not for an actual battle. It was pathetic. And in my honest opinion, I think they failed to deliver.

The overall theme of Halo: Reach was obvious. You lose, and your whole team dies. But you worked together as a team to give it your all. But that is never actually how the campaign went down. Never, throughout this entire slop of a campaign, do you HAVE EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF NOBLE TEAM FIGHTING BY YOUR SIDE OTHER THAN A GOD DAMN CUT SCENE. /really long rant

I mean I could get really in depth about this game. Really really into it about why I think the Campaign is bad and much more, and probably argue with you about it for like the next 10 hours, but I just don't want to bother.

Remember, I'm not saying the game is perfect, but Halo:Reach campaign has so much more variety in it then past Halo game, and it gets way to much hate that it doesn't deserve.

Nope. Jun is in a Falcon. Half the teams leaves you during the mission until somehow you all magically reenter the array for a CUTSCENE.

But, if you like the campaign. That's fine with me. I don't like it, but if you do, who am I to tell yo what you can and can't like?

You got 6 days of Halo:Reach Campaign.

I've got 22 days. I literally used to play campaign every day, and still do.

Lets just forgot about the music, the wild life, the new detail, the scenery, the levels. The campaign has such unique lands its pretty amazing.

Juns a sniper. Is he supposed to be no scoping. And they don't magically reenter. Carter and Jorge are with you the whole time, so you can go search for the marines, while Emile, Kat and Jun go to the Satellite to get in.

The campaign was ugly as hell.

It lacked the vivid colors past Halo games used. It was so dull, about as dull as the characters and the missions. So at least those compliment one another.

Jun doesn't snipe anything. He sits still in the Falcon the whole time through the mission. He's used for nothing else but Dialog that mission.

Hi.

When I got my copy, I was ecstatic beyond belief. I thought it would be the ultimate Halo.

When I first played, I was pretty impressed by the main menu UI.

The art style was an immediate turn off, however. And although I found the gameplay fun, it was very disappointing.

I guarantee I played more in CE and H2 individually. I still play them every once in a while. Campaign has been the only reason I played the Halo franchise. I didn't really care about multiplayer.

Lets just forgot about the music,

Mariachi-esque garbage and horrendous fusion. Only a few songs worth a damn in Reach vs all good music in the previous games. Even ODST's OST is better than Reach.

the wild life,
Two animals. Stop the presses. This game is instantly amazing because it has two animals that you see all of twice (referring to the Moa).

the new detail,

Graphical improvement (which should be expected) =/= a better game.

Also, the graphics are far too grainy in this game anyway for Halo. Also, motion blur was an idiotic idea.

the scenery, the levels. The campaign has such unique lands its pretty amazing.

Barren mountainous farmlands, cityscape, Covenant ship, human facility. The only one of these unique to Halo is the farmlands, which were unimpressive because they were pretty empty for the most part.

I don't recall floating rocks right in the middle of playspaces in previous Halo installments. That link alone shows how sloppily Bungie handled Reach. How does something that obvious happen? Oh right, you're just slapping random crap together and hoping it works.
