your next project can you make your banhammer strict as it possibly can be? rather it be an RTS, FPS, RPG, anything. can you make it enjoyable for players that are wanting to play the game? for example playing halo 3 this guy his last 150 games has lost 140 of them. with reach people AFK with very little punishments. i am not complaining just trying to give my personal input into your new game.

im wanting your new game to be employable and not have people quit or purposely lose. :( i feel that this makes people lose faith in the game because it has made me and it makes me sad :(. but this is just my input. i am looking forward to see what is coming next.

There needs to be a balance though. Sometimes a banning system can be so strict that it bans unfairly since it uses a system rather than judgement. Kind of like some of the mods.

This is true.. Also not sure how the mods will like the last bit of your post.

I was a finalist :P

While increasing the strictness and severity of such bans may help (this can be a double-edged sword), Bungie can only go so far; they can't guarantee the prevention of users from making the experiences of others less enjoyable in-game - so you'll still see the occassional player AFK'ing, grieving, ect - hence it comes down to moving on from one game onto the next, and hoping that the instigator of the previous game eventually gets banned.

I believe you may have use for this.

Who the hell do you think I am?

I always thought the Halo games actually did pretty well with stopping cheaters.

Key

Stricter punishments can only yield a better experience in my opinion. A 10 minute ban for AFKing (in whatever sense that is present in the next game depending on its genre) right away seems fair. The complaints would be likened to that of the complaints of the Bungie.net spam filter.

People seem to lose track of how small the amounts doled out as buffers or punishments are that they seem to flip out at all of them that are put in place. In reality, a 5 second buffer of a spam filter and a 15 minute ban for constant quitting is, comparatively, NOTHING at all.

In summation: stricter and more punitive moderation of cheating, quitting, and afking.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

Games like halo need a feature to allow a player to rejoin after disconnecting. That would fix most of my problems with the system.

for example i played with a a guy that out of his last 150 games lost 140 of them...with nothing happening to him. so that is extreme. so if you purposely lose 2 or 10 in arrow then something should happen

What if the guy was actually that bad and was trying his hardest to win but kept losing?

You'd need a little more criteria than that, like suicides, betrayals, buttons pressed (or lack thereof), etc.

given that his gt is i boost for you. he gets 3 kills every game and then either stands still or just runs to the middle of the map i am sure something can be done about it.
