will the halo 3 physics be able to give objects an actual weight. an example of this is in halo 2 where the scorpian can easily drive over top of a warthog, yet the jeep is not crushed in the slightest. since the scorpion weighs 66 tons it should crush any vehicle caught under the treads. this feature would also create some great visual kills.

a full warthog trapped in a corner crushed into oblivion under a tanks treads

they dont really need to specifically put it in...if they put alot of effort into the engine it should generate events, like the crushing of a warthog by a tank, by itself.

other events could include more dramatic weapon firing, such as a shotgun actually making a target fly backwards when shot point blank

ya the shotgun needs a tweaking, a much larger range is needed, perhaps 3/4 extra of what it is now. the gun model looks shoddy in first person too.

its also kind of wierd if you come and say "oh the spartan weighs half a ton the shotgun would not move him" well how can you explain the warthogs ability to launch him halfway across the map. a good physics engine able to simulate real occurances with the variable of halo (weight of spartan etc etc) would be a great beggining

If they wanted that then it would be in already.

There have been no gameplay videos so far. You don't know that for sure.

I think the physics engine in H2 is very dodgy and inconsistent, I hope they sort it out in H3.
