people say that the AR is worse than the DMR correct? So, wouldnt it take more skill to use the " worse " gun than the OP one? You guys claim the DMR is the better gun and say you have more skill cause you use it. When really if the Ar is the worse of the two, you should be considered better by using it.
I mostly agree with you, for most players the AR is a harder weapon to play with because they concentrate on precision weapons, which is the smarter way to play in most of the game types.
I believe, however (this is in opinion mind you) that the AR is an easier weapon to use, (most likely because I am not as experienced and skilled as you players and not as used to using the DMR), it isn't a weapon for long distance, but at the start of a MM match you have a good chance of being in close combat which, again IMHO, the AR triumphs the DMR.
The AR, like the DMR, well like all projectile weapons, works well if aimed at the head and can drain a players shield much faster, it is also, for me a least, easier to hit opponents at close range with AR than the DMR, which requires a good deal of skill, which I do not have, to use a close range.
So the jist of that book I just wrote is that , the Assault Rifle may be of help if you think of it as a weapon only for the beginning of a match, and to be thrown away as soon as you get your preferred weapon.
Though it does lead one to believe that this is INDEED catering to casual crappy players over the experienced skilled players.
I understand you being upset, When they destroyed Dragonage 2, to make it easier and more acceptable to casual players, I was infuriated and could not complete the game, even though I LOVED Dragonage: Origins.
