I like video games, Jesus, music, and love my girlfriend. :) PM me, we'll talk.

What draws you to certain ones?

What features are nice to have and what features aren't?

Most importantly, what pushes you away from groups?

  • 03.21.2012 3:06 PM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

Whatever the group is about.

You're not as limited as you are in the main forums.

And the inactivity is what really kills it for the majority of private groups.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I have no idea. Random things have drawn me to the groups that I'm in.

How active the group is. The members. The mission.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I don't normally like groups.

(A) Groups are all that kept me on this site.
There isn't enough going on in the mains for me to have any interest, and I'm on here every day.
I'm sure a good active group is probably hard to come by on games that are long gone (Halo 3) and games that are less played than their predecessors. I was just lucky enough to be a part of one that has been going strong for 4 years.

I dont care for groups, I only care for Forever Forgers and the group me and my friend started

  • 03.21.2012 3:56 PM PDT

It depends on what the group is about, and how active it is.

  • 03.21.2012 4:00 PM PDT

In regards to which groups I have joined in the past and what drew me to them, the reasons behind it can be seen by looking at what groups I am in at the moment.

The majority of the groups that I am currently in, I either joined because the subject matter that they present is of great value to me, or a friend or member that I tremendously respect invited me to it.

  • 03.21.2012 4:07 PM PDT

Friends before pixels.

Friends, and what the group is about.

Friends, and what the group is about.

Originally I just joined groups for the sake of it and now it is for the above.

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

the people in the group/what the group is about, is what draws me to a group.

Groups that have a very devoted administrator towards the purpose of the group, and a good percentage of active members there to keep things moving towards the goal. Groups will die quickly if they lack one of those factors, no matter how many people are in it or what the group is about.

It's probably due to the fact that new members lose interest almost immediately when a sense of obligation is put on them from the start. I know when I join a new group I get kinda deterred when asked to be more active. I'm there to have fun on my time and at my pace, you mess with that then I'm probably going to leave.

What features are nice to have and what features aren't?I would love to see the Group History Viewer get an upgrade, I use that thing all the time. I wish it would go back further in time and was more detailed, such as showing which group mods locked and pinned which threads, Just one example. I also wish the privilege to access the History Viewer could be granted without simultaneously granting access to edit the Group's Settings.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

What draws you to certain ones?
>A new concept of discussion, or a topic I am interested in.
What features are nice to have and what features aren't?
>Nice: moderators/admins that don't take full advantage of their power and don't take their job too seriously.
Bad: an uncontrolled forum, lack of updates (for the feeling of an active group)

Most importantly, what pushes you away from groups?
>Group advertisements.

Blackness Confirmed. You've got soul.

The Ultimate Opinion.

I like groups that moderate leniently and allow discussions not allowed on the mains. Pretty much the two best uses.
