0 for me, the first 20 times this app crashed while i tried to launch it gave me my first impression.
hopefully BUNGiE: the creators of the amazing Halo: Combat Evolved and spectacular Halo 2 does better with their next title

  • 03.21.2012 9:35 PM PDT

for a bungie game I was disappointed but for me it never crashed.

Even though the game did keep crashing for me ... did get some pointers from this forum, and more help from developer forum ... but lost interest well before that point.

but ... biggest shock(s) is;
1) the low number of votes appearing on the games own forum,
2) that forum members grade the game so low.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

It's a good game, but I didn't really enjoy it to the point of making me want to play it all of the time. I would rate the game to be a 5 on a scale of 0-7.

  • 05.03.2012 7:15 AM PDT

Please don't hype for games...
They'll just fall short of your expectations and you'll complain for months.

Probably a 4. The only grievances I have are that it's too short and it's too easy.

It was fun but there wasn't anything in there that made be want to play it again and the lack of WIFI or even Bluetooth Duels was stupid.

4. It was fun for a while, but got boring fast.

19 votes in as many days ... and on the gamesown forum?!?
That cant look good.
(and then when the bigest % of votes bag out the game??)

As to who?
Guessing bungie may have the contact details of those that they gave those free codes out to - lol.

May be my EU view - but isnt 0 == bad game?
(or did I miss the scarasm tag)

Honestly think aerospace/bungie have given up.
This forum is all but dead, same with their facebook page. Do thay even read\visit these forums - what happened to community development etc?

Suspect they found out that this market segment was a little harder that they expected and have made the call to let it fall silently away.

Irrelevant. The activity level of this forum is of no consequence to their development process.

False. There are at least two small projects as well are other "ambitious" projects in development.

Keep posting your baseless assumptions though, I find them particularly amusing and oddly familiar.

"their" means aerospace game development ... but that wasnt even aerospace?!?
And if you mean community development ... only thing we have seen of late is the "we have gone dark" campaign. May be my english, but here "going dark" mean stealth like. not exactly community development focus?

Great ... care to share?
Is there a link we missed (is this 'link or it did not happen' a bungie.net excepted norm)?

Come back from lunch and get greated with "baseless assumptions" ... mmm, is that also from the bungie community development handbook??
And some wonder why the attitude towards bungie has turned hostile.

And if you find these comments famillar why not do something to counter them. You dropped hints at the two existing small projects, plus many others underway ... why not announce these, create some excitement, negate what you confess to have seen as a familiar trend?

Maybe I am being harsh (its a german way), but the mood of this forum only encourages this behaviour. And then to be attacked by bungie itself is a little 'unusual'. I have shown your reply to my colleagues, none of which have heard of these announcements of which you speak - does bungie feel that we are all to be ridiculed?

[edit]
Another trait of our peoples ... rules.
- Leaked content (including magazine scans), real or fake, will not be tolerated
- Respect your fellow members, or at least tolerate them publicly,
- New threads should encourage a discussion among the community
This last one alone I suspect should outweight the others :(

I've never played Crimson, but this topic caught my attention. Here's a good way to look at Bungie as a whole in the future.

Check this page: http://www.bungie.net/inside/content_viewer.aspx?link=about_c areers

As long as that page says they're still hiring - they're doing alright, regardless of forum activity, facebook activity, etc.

Had to recount the above post to clients who are also avid gamers (they hope for more fun) ... so maybe a few more people introduced to the forum.

If you are willing to follow the above (and putting it into an american context) ... would you quit your day job to join a sub-prime broker?

Given this web site has career dreams available in more than 800 branches across 25 states? Sounds like a dream come true, or is that a nightmare? But if its on the web it MUST be true - doesnt it?!?

[the client is enjoying this way too much, as they point out]
- what of these jobs are related to aerospace? and
- why does the page metadata date the page as of March 27?
(or should we blame stoch, the hr department or a bad release config)

(note: moving OT, but since you asked and was pushed into a reply)

Did you even look at what you're comparing? A national, multi-branch subsidiary of another company.

Of course you can be failing as a company and still hire people in individual branches that aren't slated for closure. In companies like that, the CEO wouldn't even know or care who you are. Is it risky to apply for a failing company? Absolutely, I'll give you that much.

Bungie is a TINY business in comparison. It's located in ONE town, and anyone hired would be in direct interaction with the business as a whole.

Your example isn't really a good connection.

We have a saying ... ein esel schimpft den anderen langohr ('the donkey calls the another one longears'). Yet you insist that 'As long as that page says they're still hiring - they're doing alright' ... a little simplistic for most.
Your not concerned;
- that they have no new games?
- it has been a year (or more) and aerospace has only 1 title?
- no obvious revenue stream?
And getting back OT - most vote (on the games own site) that the game left them lacking. Perhaps not as "doing alright" as many expected ... but perhaps you are right, and everyone else who voted is wrong?!?

and then we have Posted by: dazarobbo

Been a week and still no further information on these new titles. I guess it is more fun to accuse others of 'baseless assumptions' than it is to provide actual information and some community building.

At least bungie recognises the uninformed fan base is an expected and "familiar" pattern. Dont expect much and you wont be disappointed :(

if you know what i mean

My at the convenient timing of this article. It's almost as if they've been working on projects or something.

So this is the aerospace project???
Sounds like you are trying to use a general bungie development to substantiate the ongoing life of aerospace.
(or is this another example of the unknown aerospace?)

Remember - keep to forum topic.
Posting discussions of bungie games may get you a thread ban, for example check the status of posts which reference that other bungie game - halo.

[edit:]
An actual aerospace link for you ... Bungie Aerospace - dead (circa: 2010) ... but yours for only $159.
