Subject: Threadigree

Yeah, it's pretty weird. Everyone whines about the stupid topics and then posts in "wuts a good new bannar"; I've concluded that listening to peoples' complaints isn't even worth it anymore.

Also, yeah, I came in here to see what you were making a thread about. I figured it'd be something else about the quality of threads, although I pretty much agree with you for the most part.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I only read this thread because great human being posted it.

Like SonicJohn, I'm semi-famous...
Your semi is bigger than my semi, though.

I do click on threads made by people I'm aware of. Usually when someone, like yourself, posts something, it's for a good reason. Mythics and notable ex-Mythics don't post threads often, so when they do, it's usually got some good reasoning behind it.

I post in threads because of the subject name. I will look and see who posted it but i will still look at the thread no matter who posts it....

If I see a friendly or respectable user reply to or create a thread, I am more likely to check it out. But my definition of "respectable user" is kind of odd and I don't exactly mean "popular user" by it either.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I only clicked on this thread because I saw Skibur post it.

People that have been around longer, and therefore I "know" them, are more likely to get me to click on their threads just because I generally know that person has a good track record for posting threads and their thread is more likely to have some thought put into it. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to click on every thread, so I need to pick and choose. Also threads with a title that catches my attention works well. I'm only clicking on every thread if I'm bored or killing time.

I am certainly biased towards threads on the front page.

Guide to posting in the Community.

Is OP a Bungie employee?
- Yes
Post "First!" If you're not first, edit your post and block quote them. Agree with him/her. Throw in some Bungie lore only Bungie fans would get, such as "This post do not eat." Also, blame Stosh.

- No ->

Is OP a Ninja?
-Yes
Here's your chance to be noticed. Don't screw it up! Write something witty and be sure to agree with the OP. Remember, Ninjas posts together so more will eventually arrive. Banhammers hurt more when used by several individuals. Don't forget to insult Qbix.

-No ->

Is OP a Mythic Member?
-Yes

Are you a Mytic member too?
-Yes
Show your support! Your brothers and sisters need you. How else will non-mythics know how great Mythics are?!? '04 or bust.

-No
Fool yourself by posting how not-so-great Mytics are. Post,
"_____ > Mythix LOL." Fill in with whatever lame title you have.

-No (If OP is not Mythic)
Move along to next topic.

I'll click a thread if the title interests me. I usually don't recognize a posters name until I read the post.

I will only be interested in a thread based on what it's about; I couldn't care less about who made it.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Only if the thread was made by a Bungie employee. But otherwise I just enter threads if the title interests me.

Yes sometimes, and to see what the thread itself is about.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

Well I don't go to threads that a notorious troll posted, but other than that I go to most threads not even caring who posted it.

Key

If I see a thread made by a Mythic (or someone who would be without a ban or warning affecting them) that has been around and active for a while, I generally read it.

Off the top of my head:

MURDUR
Skibur
(Insert Ninjas Here)
pro
cortana 5
SonicJohn
burritosenior
Then there's anyone else who's relatively well known, doesn't make a lot of threads, and is at least a Legendary or Mythic (barring bans, etc.). You don't even have to make quality threads. As long as you don't make them on a regular basis I will either have forgotten that you don't make good threads or

That's another thing. If you make threads on a regular basis, I will most likely only read your threads so that I can see how ridiculously stupid they've become because nobody can make good topics on a regular basis. That'd be ridiculous.

If your TPM (Threads Per Month) is greater than or equal to 5, you're making too many threads in my opinion and I will stop reading them. Even 4 is pushing it.

TPM > 4? What about TPW?

Also, why would you read anything by Murdur? :)
