Subject: Is it acceptable to quit if you are losing a game?

I really only quit if there is no point in playing anymore. A couple examples would be being the last person in the game versus the entire other team, or if my team is beyond stupid. One example of that is a recent game of rocket hog race where my teammates were just trying to kill each other and me by driving into the water.

yes as long as it's not because you're losing

i think its only ok if there are clearly modders or you keep getting spawn killed or your the only one on your team and your getting raped really badly

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

As long as EVERYONE quits.

If only half your team is left, and the other team is competent, yes. Even still, unless you are getting spawnkilled you should stay.

As the Elites would say, "I;'d rather die with honor than surrender to the enemy"

Basically, no don't quit

Even if im getting killed ill stay, Ill just stop taking it seriously and try to make a new freind. Its times like that I wish my spartan could dance. (Disco dancing spartan anyone, I mean come on how can you kill that)

Of course quitting is not an option, you have to take it like a man! It is only good to quit when it is a rubbish map or game type but not when you are losing!!!!!!! Also when you are being spawn killed by NOOBS .

Just because you're losing, no, it's not a good enough reason..

Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

If your team is losing by a lot and you're outnumbered, I see no problem with quitting.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Unless all of your spawns are being camped at, the enemy is armour locking with swords and shotguns and the score is like 39-8, no, you shouldn't quit. There are plenty of games where you can be losing, but end up winning the game overall through determination and tactic.

Quitting is always acceptable. If dont feel like spending my time in a match, and want to do something else then I will.

I should say where this came from.

I was playing LD (I know, I know, shut up)

And there was this guy on the opposing team just owning the zombies getting kill after kill, he eve nsurvuved the round as a human and he did not have the luxury of a team mate, he did the same on the next round.

I stayedc with him to the next game but after he only got threee kils before getting infected on this game he quit as SOON as he got infected.

It was painfully obvious he did this to make sure his K/D stayed in the positive.

Here is the loser who did it.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Losing is part of playing the game. If you quit because you can't handle losing, you probably shouldn't be playing.

If you're not having fun, that's a different story.

I once was caught in a game of SWAT on Asylum alone against a team of four. I was winning for most of the game, but lost by 4 or 5, with a score in the 30s (Time ran out)

If the game is bull-blam-, like you're the last man on your team and you're getting spawnkilled, it's acceptable.

It's up to whoever's behind the controller. To me the only reason to quit is Mount Lam Lam.

Heavy's can go die too, but I have not been quitting because of it.

I do not voluntarily leave games, unless my team has been reduced to half by others quitting before me.

The only real time I quit is if, I'm the last one left on my team, I don't want to stay in that game and I'm sure the other team really doesn't want to deal with me.

quitting is pretty stupid. I think quit bans should be much more harsh.

  • 03.28.2012 3:42 PM PDT

No, you should NOT quit a game because you are loosing.

BUT! There should NOT be a ban for people quitting either, I am currently banned from multiplayer because of 'quitting'.

I quit one game earlier because ALL of my team quit before me and I was the last one left being repeatedly spawn killed by the other team. After this game I got the warning about getting banned if I quit another game.

Then I loose connection to a game of SWAT and I get banned. Its pathetic, I just bought the Halo Anniversary CE disc with DLC for Halo reach and I feel I have wasted money now. PATHETIC.

  • 03.28.2012 3:59 PM PDT

I feel there should be banning but it shouldn't be two times and it should be coupled with if the other palyers feel the need to report him/her.
