Subject: Bungie.net comment rating system.

Everything is proceeding as I have forseen.

I think that it would be a ggod idea if we were able to quickly rate comments on threads on this website (kind of like on Youtube with the thumbs up or down system), does anyone else think this would be a good idea?

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I don't really think that we need a system like that.

Sounds okay in theory but Bungie.net's beauty lies in its simplicity and presentation. No need for unnecessary clutter.

Ad Infinitum

It would just be another useless gimmick. Achronos has more important things to do, such as New Hawtness.

Just another way for people to create chaos and not care that there is another human being on the other side of the internet who has feelings.

I was a finalist :P

Maybe this is already part of New Hawtness. It's not as bad an idea as some people think it out to be - especially if it would state who liked a specific comment. Some people can't think of how to word their responses, so - rather than quoting-posting and bumping the thread - they can like a post and their stance on the subject can also be viewed.

100/1 there will be a post involving abuse or "Bungie.net is not Facebook".

Who the hell do you think I am?

I'd rather they not put in that feature.

Bungie.net is used for discussion. Not "read the best reply and move on" people actually want to talk and discuss things not sit, read, rate, and move on.

Basically the feature would kill discussion among members.

People who would just upvote a comment and move on would just have quote-posted or just "this"'d or QFT'd the post in question.

Those kinds of posts are USELESS.

They add NOTHING to the conversation.

Your argument is invalid.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

I wouldn't mind a like/thumbs up/+1 button, since that would just replace the people who quote a post just to agree with it. There shouldn't be a thumbs down or dislike, since people who disagree with a post should say why, generating discussion.

I quote posts that I approve of, agree with, or otherwise have a response to so if I quote you then you've succeed in one of those areas from my perspective. That's a good enough comment rating system for me.
