All stuff refered to was from HALO 1 But is relating to HALO 3 theories.

Someone said that the forerunners did not refer to themselves as forerunners, but Cortana in the control room says "the covenant were right, this ring, it's forerunner." How could she have known it was forerunner without self-reference?

Forerunners are human? 343 GS says otherwise. If you shoot him during the library mission, he will eventually say "please stop being human" The forerunners were NEVER refered to as human.

And another item. Did the forerunners find a cure to the flood? During the 343 GS level, once you see covenant fight flood a second time. You come across three marines dead with shotguns at the floor. Go through the door and there is a strange, long device that looks like those magnetic things in hospitals for analysing. Could this (when an infected is put inside) cure flood?

Pretty good ideas, not too sure how valid they are - I don't know what to believe any more ;)

Anyway, don't just bump it - the thread had been made for 18 minutes - be patient.

No cure. They built the Halos' to "render the flood harmless." (If that's what you mean)
Also, 343 called the humans Reclaimers. They are not Forerunners.

Sorry man, i'm just trying to enforce the rules here. I dunno about you, but I don't like all this nonsense floating around. I mean some honest, thought-out speculation is great, but posting for the sake of, well, posting is quite annoying. Alright, I guess i'll keep my comments to myself from now on. hehe, maybe I like to play mod to much... =P

well if the forerunners did have a cure for the flood they woul of used it

my theory is that there is only 1 thing to stop the flood:
1. get all the human population off of earth and go lightyears away and then activate the ring

the only cure for flood is to innhilate humans

hunters are part of the covenant
so you might as well just deal with the floods b.s. instead

Sorry bout the bumping.

That weird device might just be an analyser then. But I'm not convinced the forerunners are human. 343 GS would not blurt out "Please stop being human" otherwise.

One of the stupidest things i've read here.
try this:

remove "it's" and insert "its"

if you don't know the difference then i suggest you put away the video games and do your schoolwork.

he says "that is so human"

Human is being used as an adjective, not a noun. If anythign it is evidence that humans are forerunners.

Firstly, when the halso fired, and life was reseeded, all prior knowledge was lost. Humans most likely would not have called themselves humans.

So, the fact hat 343 uses the word human is an indication of a link. regardless of knowledge, a human/forerunner would have the same vocal chords, mouth structure and voice range, so, in theory both could come up with the same word. Though, in our case human is noun and in their case it is an adjective.

read this: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=5560063, it is wuite possibly the best theory I've ever read, and almost proves that forerunner = humans.
