It's a simple poll; I'm curious about the expectations from the community.

I would like to see another FPS; maybe, and this is a big "maybe," a FPS/MMO hybrid?

I don't know about an FPS/MMO hybrid. Not that they won't make it, but that I don't know how I would react if they did. I'm so used to Halo that it would be shocking to see such a colossal change.

It's certainly a very interesting idea though, and I am intoxicated with enjoyment about what their next project is.

I'm thinking an FPSRPG at the moment.

I was just thinking that with the Blizzard partnership, that Bungie might be looking for real investment from its gamers. You know, a world which "is always there for you."

I don't think a continuous world is outside the realms of possibility.

With a clear and concise campaign? Beginning to end? A sort of "choose-your-own-adventure book" kind of thing?

Like a combination between Halo and Final Fantasy?

Not at all; I agree with you 100%. Having a boundless world that we could explore would be more fun than a barrel of monkeys, however I am just so used to Halo that it would, without question, take some getting used to.

I'd more hope for a cross between Halo and The Elder Scrolls if it was going to mix the two genres. Final Fantasy hasn't been relevant since VII and X... just sayin'.

I haven't played Final Fantasy (or many RPGs in general actually) but at sounds about right for what I'm thinking of.

I think you and I are existing within the same paradigm here Rascal. I am confident that any changes will still retain some type of familiarity for those who have followed Bungie's evolution as a developer. Cheers.

FPS only? Like Reach?

Involving what I would call "sideline incentive systems" like the armory. Or do you think they will look for a long-lasting game which will withstand multiple content (DLC) injections (that's right, I said "injection")?

So our medal chests fuel our skill trees?

I'm starting to think of a Skyrim/Halo hybrid. Think about it, clans holding territory and warring over new territories.

I think MMO covers this category nicely from a gaming perspective. When I think role-playing I see stacks of paper, spilled Dew, and large Crown Royal bags full of dodecahedrons.
