Positive vibes.

Oh, yeah. And why not incorporate Fruit Ninja, and Temple Run while we're at it?

:P

Where's role-play game?

I think MMO covers this category nicely from a gaming perspective. When I think role-playing I see stacks of paper, spilled Dew, and large Crown Royal bags full of dodecahedrons.

Role-playing games are completely different than MMO's. And, if anything, you put MMO's under the RPG category.

I would be very surprised if it wasn't a FPS or fps-hybrid.

Same, I think they should do what they do best. I think it's hard to overlook the direction gaming is taking regarding long-lasting incentive systems. I hope Bungie spends some quality time evolving the investments/incentive system in their next title.

I'm hoping for another RTS by Bungie.

Like what? Like a full scale Crimson? Or was there another title?

Explain, I thought role-playing involved actually playing a role, like physically?

Have you played a role-playing game yet? I mean, woah. Only the most hardcore gamers actually try to assume the role in real life. Most gamers don't even try to play roles in the game. A good role-playing game draws you into the roles (on the video game, not in real life) without you trying to act them out (in the game); and many role-playing games don't even draw you into the roles, and still turn out fun.

Have you played Skyrim, Fallout, or Legend of Zelda before? Those are well known, and very good (for it's time, in LoZ's case) role-playing games.

This or an RPG. I think Bungie could really make a quality RPG.

It doesn't have to be medieval per-say but it'd be nice to see a Bungie game return to a time when there wasn't all this technology; to create an interesting and engaging experience without the added benefits of digital HUD via a visor or grenades or space ships etc.

A classical era first person or third person RPG would be neat. I feel like there'd be too little to do if it was set pre-historic or during the dawn of civilization but you never know.

Blackness Confirmed. You've got soul.

The Ultimate Opinion.

FPS. That's what I hope anyway.

Yes, yes, and DUH. I suppose I see what you mean by "role-playing" in those titles, and now that I'm researching it a little, that is the "official" genre those games fall under (although Zelda anything is/should be considered Action /Adventure).

Personally I don't think RPG and FPS are good bedfellows even though games like Borderlands are the tits.

I really hope they continue with this "futuristic world" trend. If not, I would like an immersive gritty other-world experience.

How would this work? Let's keep in mind the statement made sometime ago about a "world which is always there" for us?

How do we FPSMMO is there is no end to the game? DO we use skulls, flags, and bombs as currency (hey that's not too far off of reality is it?)?

  • 03.23.2012 1:46 PM PDT

I'm personally hoping for an Action Adventure game.

FPS's are just too damn limited in my opinion, and the market is flooded with them.

The most popular console games today are clearly first-person games, shooters, slashers, or otherwise. I love action/adventure like the other guy, but feel it will really take something special to break new ground there.

Where does the multiplayer come in?

I am hoping for something along the lines of Uncharted meets the Elder Scrolls but I highly doubt Bungie would steer away from bland Sci Fi shooters into a more creative realm.

The name of this game should be GNOP 2 and it should be a steampunk action/adventure rpg starring pimps.
