As we know, in multiplayer, there are areas that are made off limits and you get the 10 second timer letting you know if you don't get your butt back, you die. Here is my question . . .

Let's say you are on Boardwalk, and the death counter is disabled, is it possible to walk/explore in the areas that are currently off limits?

Or are those areas merely illusions and could not be accessed even if the death counter is disabled?

many maps seem that they go on forever and have multiple areas for exploration but we can't b/c of the death counter.

Your thoughts?

On most maps/campaign levels in the game there ARE soft-kill death barries but there are also insta-kill areas and invisible barriers. So, I doubt it.

I think it is human nature to see "what is around the corner". While I am certain there was a good reason to put those kill zones in, it is the one decision I have disagreed with.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

There are a lot of soft-kill barriers and invisible barriers that cannot be removed.

Well, to the normal user anyway.

If you launch yourself far enough out of the map you can get past the kill boundaries. It's easiest on forge world but there isn't much to see.

There probably are actual barriers set up past a certain point, so you won't be able to access it. Some of what you're seeing might just be a picture, not an actual object.

Really makes you miss CE an H2, where there weren't all these barriers limiting your freedom, especially in campaign of all places.....

Homesite for funny videos, gameplay, and much more!

Bungie is protecting you from the monster that lurks beyond the insta-kill barriers.

I had a friend who went past the barrier...

...he never came back...

So what do you want? Levels that never end?
