Subject: Random Speculation about the location of the Halo´s

"Your destruction is the will of the gods, and we are their instruments."

I had nothing to do, so i started to study star maps and the "Sacred Tablets" of the Covenant. So i made this small speculation, witch might be really stupid and it may make no sense.

So first i edited one of the sacred tablets a bit, trying to find the location of Earth.

Then i noticed, that there is a small area in the middle of the galaxy, witch is unaffected by the Halo´s (notice that the circles are not in proportion). First i thought that this spot might be Earth, and so Earth would be uneffected by the Halo´s. This was soon proved wrong, when i looked up the location of earth in the solar system -> http://www.ecology.com/earth-at-a-glance/earth-at-a-glance-fe ature/images/1.jpg

I thought that i had gotten into a dead end, until i realised how the Halo´s propably work. The following supports the speculation, that there indeed is a Halo under Earth. Everyone knows that the solar system is flat. I speculate, that when the Halo´s become activated. They move into a carpet type formation. Then when the Halo´s are activated the edge of each Halo protects that Halo from the force of the other Halos. This explains why the Flood is alive inside the Halos, and why atleast the equator will be saved by the power of Halo´s.

The next theory is completely seperate. I suspect that the rings of Uranus and Saturn have been created while the first Halo´s were being built. If indeed Earth is also the home of the Forerunners, then it is possible, that they experimented with the building of Halo´s close to Earth. Maybe the rings of Saturn and Uranus are just Halo´s gone wrong.

PS: I know that the pictures are are stupid, so don´t get on my case about them. This is just something, that i felt i had to write, and see what you thought about it.

sounds....semi-sensible, im not sure about it, ill think about this one *goes to ponder at the pictures*

EDIT: ah so what your saying about uranus and saturn is that the rings got ripped apart from a gravetational force, that makes sense, but im not sure if earth is the home of the forerunners.......Hmm

Facts are the enemy of tru7h....

It is a plausable theory, but I don't think you can necessarily speculate about the positions of the Halos based on the Scared Tablets. Afterall, the Covenant don't actually know where the Halos are. They are as much in the dark about their locations as the humans are. All they really know is that the Halos exist. To the best of my knowledge the only rings they have actually found are Alpha and Delta Halo.

Also, The representation on the Sacred Tablets is styalised and may not represent what the Covenant actually know.

I have mu own theory on where the Halos are...

I made it a while ago... It should be roughly right.... If i remember the figures correctly the earth is about 28 thousand LY (light years) from the galactic core and 22 thousand LY from the edge of tha galaxy...

well it wouldn't really matter where the earth was since we'd all be dead anyways... asuming that your picture did show the halos positions in the galaxy
