here is my impression of people who wear each helmet.
TL;DR: this is nothing serious just a fun list
here goes:
mark IV: too busy playing arena and team doubles to care about armor
cqc: wannabe mlg pro plays alot of arena and team doubles, arrogant and cocky
odst: little kid, acts mature for his age but has a squeaky
voice, can be annoying to some, likes to invite random people to customs in the hopes of making friends
hazop: wannabe gangsta who thinks he's pro has an anger problem and often freaks out when he gets killed, everyone mutes him, has a low rep on his xbox profile.
EOD: annoying little kid, plays alot of living dead whilst singing in the mic and is heard fighting with his older brother
operator: happy and cheerful but mediocre skill, likes to talk about random stuff in game chat
grenidier: cool guy loves btb gets most kills in matches but has an average k/d
air assault: a guy pretending to be a girl on xbox (seriously this helmet looks awful on male spartans)
scout: plays alot of team snipers and generally has a high k/d but is a lone wolf and doesn't support his teammate (FFA snipers anyone?)
EVA: plays alot of team snipers despite being an easy target, often stands still whilst shooting, likes to camp with close range weapons especially the shotgun (emile probably)
EVA (c): wannabe emile/wannabe mlg pro kid who talks trash all game and betrays teammates, plays alot of living dead and grifball.
JFO: above average player loves custom games barely plays online mostly found in open lobbys playing octagon.
commando: ladys man, thinks they're cool and that the ladies are impressed with his k/d, trys to act cool on xbox but is lonely irl.
mark V: very good player in all aspects, plays alot of mlg, never plays customs unless it's on an mlg map, hates living dead, grifball, action sack and multi team and is often found carrying his team in normal slayer but mostly plays in the mlg playlist.
pilot: doesn't play halo much, wears pilot to compensate for the fact that they'll never get haunted helmet, they often spend their time playing other games. their skill can vary from below average to above average but they're rarely found in the middle, their favorite map is countdown.
recon: cool guy who plays to have fun but isn't necesarrily a bad player and plays both mlg and customs, a balance of competitive and fun nature.
mark VI: credit whores who are trying to get to inheritor, they often play objective games but they never focus on the objective and just go for kills, this person often has the highest kills on his team but he is generally on the losing team.
gungnir: betrays for power weapons and steals kills, plays alot of btb, often found looking for power weapons and camping at the base with a sniper.
security: plays halo reach way too much, obsessive compulsive. people often insult him by calling him a no life, is often a quiet player and does every challenge, every commendation and boosts in secret, his skill in competitive matchmaking is low but his skill in firefight is extremely high and he often has the highest score, often goes afk in co-op campaign.
haunted helmet: hacker/has no life
military police: hipster, must have the unpopular helmet
CQB: achievement whore, completed halo 3 campaign on legendary but still hasn't got vidmasters, often found in campaign lobby/co-op campaign, still wants recon despite the fact it's easy to obtain in reach and will do anything to get it.
just a bit of fun guys, nothing serious, if you do wear any of these helmets don't be offended by what i said. none of this is fact or opinion it's just a bit of fun, now make your own list!
