I grew up.

OK I am bringing this thread over from GameFAQs, just to get opinions from over here...

Here's the link to the topic if you want to read all of their ideas, but here's my idea that I had thrown in.

http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=926632& amp;topic=28344043

Quote: Well there are always texture improvements, maybe they could give it different seasons everytime you play it. If anyone has the Halo 2 guide, flip to the page that shows all about Coagulation. (I don't have it, but my friend showed me this) The top down view of Coag is snowy! That would be badass to play in different seasons randomly. Or maybe not just different seasons, but different weather like maybe rainly one match, snowy another, extremely bright and sunny another, etc... just a thought.

Someone also commented on how vision and such would play into this. I said along the lines if it were raining, your vision would screw up and make you a lot less accurate, and they suggested your mask fogging up from time to time.

Post your own thoughts.

They didn't tell us what it was it could have been anything. Frankie gets scared easy incase you didn't know.

-BH-

Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.

The helmet would never fog up though. I've always wanted to play with different weather and such in multiplayer.

although the ideas of foggy and hard to see through are good, in the time of the game, 2500's(as i recall) im sure they have some sort of invention to prevent this..seeing as how the spartans ARE the HUMAN RACE SuperSoldiers.

Yeah, a few minutes later I had pointed all of this out. I'm sure they have vetning equipment, but perhaps the fogging could still happen, perhaps on the edges like you see on your car sometimes before it actually is vented out.

it could render the motion tracker useles(or like small dots for the rain and bigger for the enemies or something like that).
I dont know I will not take sides on this one.

Weather patterns has been posted before and I thinks its a good idea. There would have to be an option to change it of course, just like you can change everything else in custom games. Rain, snow, etc would add another element into the game and change up the maps.

that would be a good idea actually. you could still use the motion tracker, buuut, would take more carefull looking at it...good idea..could totally change the way you play if level is rainy. this would add a whole new level of gameplay.

You have to remember though. Don't limit it to just rain, think of it maybe being really windy and those trees are blowing in it, or maybe the wind plays a part in bullet influence long range. Or maybe the weather is really dry, hot, and extremely bright, playing games with your vision at certain angles. Again, don't just think of weather as rain or snow. and yes it could play hell with your motion sensor, but the Spartans in their world would have to deal with it right?

The USA doesnt come into this.... i dont think that any of the spartans actually came directly from America, and the spartans job isnt to defend america either....

Maybe you should have said: UN SuperSoldiers, or possible, Man-Kind SuperSoldiers.

weather is a great idea! especially the rain and using it to make ur motion racker useless cuz of the droplets screwing with the sensors. i thiink it would be a really useful push on the 360 technology. cuz like between halo 1 & 2, if you look at the weather change, it's pretty huge. it dusn't happen so much in ur area, but like in the bakground? like in teh 1st one there were no clouds or anything, and u could ALWAYS see the entire ring. but in halo its often foggy or misty and ur view is obscured.

If 4 out of 5 people suffer from constipation, does that mean the 5th one enjoys it???

Maybe lightning could come into play too. Where sometimes lightning would strike the map and if you were in the wrong spot at the wrong time then you would die being in the metal suit.

Fogging of the visor would defnitely not be an issue, theres already technology in snowmoblie helmets that prevent them from fogging up

I have the guide, and I noticed the snow, I forgot about it up until now
Personally, I think that weather is a good thing in any game, and I really like the idea of random weather in very match.
Also, you could do rain drops or even fog, exept that it would defog immediately, it would really only look cool, and wouldn't be foggy long enough to mess you up in any way

They're not the USA's supersoldiers, they're the Human race's super soldiers. Master Chief wasn't even from Earth. Hate to burst your bubble, but not every hero is from the USA.

GAMER

im actually canadian..so that isnt why i said that. but, i was just under the impression. my bad, just a little mistake..

a couple of trees also appeared in Coagulation. Hopefully someone from Bungie will see this and put in a word for us within their studio. That would be cool.

Yup weather would be ace and also seasons and time of day. Snow would make active camo useless. Flashlights are a must for halo 3 multiplayer as well. Like you could use in some halo 1 maps but make it so they dont ever run out and accessibel in all maps.

I always liked the idea of seasonal changes, since Coagulation is on Halo and referring to the book, (Halo: The Flood) the weather instantly changes.

It'd be quite entertaining if someone were to have an active camo when it rains. Little good it will do for the sneaky player:P
