We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I am sure we have all seen some Mag shot saying we will be fighting forerunners in halo 4, but i noticed something.

The mag says "The Creator of the halo rings".

Notice how that isn't plural meaning just one person. How is this important?

Primordium is said to be highly relevant to halo 4 and the reclaimer saga and The entire book is actually about the master builder's arrogance and the political struggle within the forerunners. His title comes up more than a dozen times in the novel and at the end Chakas says they assumed he died on installation 07. Which is even more interesting since the last time we saw him was at the capital.

So i think we might be Fighting Faber and his builders not the forerunners as a whole, which is still bad but not as bad. Though The Didact seems to have some sort of antagonist role also.

How have you been living so long if you don't have the intelligence to read before posting?

Bungie.Match.com: Our Johnson knows what the ladies like.

Faber was also the first person I thought of when I saw it.

hey maybe if the librarian and master builder are alive the real didact could be alive too. just think maybe the master builder would have kept him as a hostage to use against the librarian.

Interesting theory OP. I actually like the idea of a select few forerunners coming back more than the idea of most, if not all.

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

*WARNING* IT IS MY OPINION.

He can't. It's leaked materials, it's not allowed.

And, yes, Grey. I believe it's Faber that we will fight.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

This is going to be very interesting. I hope a great campaign that blows the original trilogy away is in store. The potential is there.

We have 2 if not 3 confirmed accounts of the librarian being dead chakas was talking about a gea. The Didact is probably in the same spot.

Now that you say it, Fabre indeed sounds like an obvious choice. For a moment I was a little afraid that we would have to fight Forerunners as a whole. Gameplay wise I would've had nothing against it, but I have always personally thought Forerunners to be the good guys. Even with all their weapons of mass destruction and wars with humans.

It would definitely provide an interesting plot although I'm personally not fan of bringing back characters who were suppsed to to be dead hundreds of thousands of years ago, and characters who were supposed to be dead in general. To me it just feels like a cheap way of coming up with something new, but then again, maybe that's just me.

I have an issue with fighting them Lore wise because they are so advanced nothing we have would work on them. Faber was never confirmed dead, and i am with you on the bringing back dead people. Though, the point of the forerunner saga is "Your thoughts make you" not your body.

That is one of my concenrs too. Realistically, no human weapon should be able to damage the armor of the Forerunners, Covenant weapons would most likely be having a hard time too.

My personal solution for that problem would be along the lines that we would use our regular weapons against lesser enemies, whatever they are. But later to the game introduce us to an arsenal of Forerunner weapons and Forerunners as enemies at the same time. That's the way I would solve it but I hope 343i has something a little classier to solve this.

Ad Infinitum

Could it not be referring to "Creator" as in the Forerunner as a whole?

Good, but what about the fact every forerunner as an AI that would be able to hack MC?

If we can find something around that then i'll be fine.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Going along with this idea of Faber being the antagonist, and pulling a few bits of knowledge from the CEA terminals:

In the "Two Betrayals" terminal, 343GS mentioned that "the Didact never fully got to implement his plan, but if our tools (the Halo Array) were ever turned against us...long plans, indeed." That's a citation since I can't remember the exact quote, but my point being that there's still 6 Halos in the Galaxy; IIRC in Primordium it is stated that there is a Greater and Lesser Ark. One of these is the Ark destroyed in Halo 3. So at least one Ark could potentially remain to allow Faber to activate the Halo array (god knows for what intent he wants to kill everything, it's a theory in progress).

So, in turn, perhaps in the Reclaimer Trilogy we have to find a way to use the Didact's "plan" to stop the "tools" being used against the will of most Forerunners, i.e. not Faber and his cronies.

I actually believe. Chief lands. The planet outside is always cleaned up so that no extraterrestrial organism can enter. Sentinels come and try to take him out as he is a foreign intruder.

He fights them off and accidently releases some flood spores, or shuts down a whole important energy grid.He gets his new armour from inside a forerunner structure which upgrades his armour with help of Cortana hacking. Forerunners decide to take him out, cause he is a nuisance. They do not know of his story.

yas334229812

Remember Chief and Cortana have no knowledge of them or anything other than basic knowledge, and forerunners have no knowledge of who they are.

But what of the "Ancient Evil" description?

No they do not know who you are, and why you are here. You likely did some damage to their infrastructure etc. They also may fear you due to past history etc. Plus you may accidently release the flood.

Confusion, and caution may have been taken.

And so they couldn't simply see Chief coming in the Dawn, isolate it and keep him locked up so he doesn't cause trouble?

Do we know what they are doing. Maybe they have an automatic system and are under siege. They may have sentinels doing the job. And well a ship crashing may have been taken in due to research importance. Or it blew into many pieces and he lands on the ground the forerunners are busy hiding within.

  • 03.28.2012 5:01 PM PDT

chakas said he needed to find the librarian to find his friends geas' that would mean he couldn't find her geas unless he already
had her geas which doesn't make sense

Bungie, You are the Force itself!!!
All achievements in all the Halos!!!
Mythic in Halo: Reach
Colonel Grade 3 in Halo 3
General in Halo Wars

What if Ancient evil is referring to the Precursors and they are the creators or the keepers of the flood parasite?

If so, we can explain why the flood came from outside the galaxy; maybe something went wrong and they release them and almost exterminate them.
