Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.
Everybody just sit down, take a moment, and retrieve your heads from your crusty chasms to think about this. Okay? You're all aware of Microsoft's influence in Halo, and the way it affected the various games up to and particularly including Reach, right?
You've seen the Halo 4 info that's been released. Has it occurred to you that Microsoft might have influenced Reach in such as way that upon assuming control they could move directly to a different genre and audience without having it feel like a sudden change in the franchise?
And FYI the core Halo mechanics are still feasible in MLG. It feels very much like Halo 3, but with a smoother, clearer tone. It might have taken a TU from 343 to make that possible, but there's still a solid game in Reach. It's just buried in the back end instead of standing proud at the forefront. I attribute that to Bungie - being able to make a solid Halo game even smoother - even if they had to hide it behind some suggestions from the boss.
