Ok I dont know if anyone has mentioned this since i have been gone for a while. Remember in Halo 2 when the Arbiter went to the first Halo which had been blown up. Wouldn't that part of the Universe be left out of the blast since the ring isn't opperational. So there could be hosts for the flood to feed on, on that side of the Univers. So if they were going to make another Halo, Halo 4 then it could be done either Chief could go there with some of the remaining humans and wait for the Ark to be activated and then go back to Earth if its not blown up. Or Earth will be left unharmed by the explosion since humans were some how still around. So what do you think about this.

He great minds think a like i wanted to post it a week ago but couldn't find the time sorry. Are you sure they can move like that i thought that they were in a planets gravitational field so that they stayed where they were suppose to because all the rings we have seen so far have been really close to a planet.

I'm sorry if someone already did but i want to know more about the subject and what everyone thinks so post what you think will happen about this missing ring or if you think chief will go there to keep from the blast.

Facts are the enemy of tru7h....

Even if the Halos could move there will always be a part of the galaxy uncovered by the rings blasts. I tried a while ago to see if Six rings could cover the whole galaxy, but i found that they just couldn't. I could get an arrange ment that would cover about 95% with six but there were always afew places left over.

Here's my diagram of 7 rings just incase you're interested.

So even if the ark is set off it does no good cause then their will be hosts for the parasites in that little 5% which is still a couple of planets left unchecked.

What if the rings positioned themselves around Earth and the blast couldn't make it to Earth leaving it unharmed and then they could do something with that to make a Halo 4 or something along those lines.

I went to the link and it showed the rings. So your router must be screwed up or something.

if the rings were so close to earth maybe they will move away from it making up for the lost ring you never know.

How would the rings move to cover the space needed would they use the planets gravitational field on swing around it to where they need.

I don't think so simply because there is no life left near the exploded halo. it exploded with a damn lot of force, so im sure ntohing but guilty spark survived near it (other than cheif and cortana) and GS was picked up even if he was a host. so no, im sure the flood could not repopulate random empty space.

That is true so the flood found some way to survive.

Facts are the enemy of tru7h....

I may have over exaggerated the 5% untouced space in may earlier post... I just tried again to cover the galaxy with 6 rings and found that you actually can cover alot of it... So maybe they could move to compensate for a fallen ring. You can't cover all of it, but the bits that aren't covered are at the edges of the galaxy and may not have had any consumable life in them anyway...

my latest results.

The best group for fan-fics ever made!
wanna be part of the Wrath?
arguments turn into battles and battles turn into wars, dismantle the arguments and everything is fine.

wouldnt the rings ignore the middle though? the 343 guilty spark said the inner part of the galaxy was wasted by the forerunners.

But, the pulse does pretty much the same thing, except the planets survive. Oh and wouldn't the flood just manifest on each other
