GUILTY SPARK: More or less. Technically, this installation's PULSE has a maximum effective radius of twenty-five thousand light years. But, once the others follow suit, this galaxy will be quite devoid of life, or at least any life with sufficient biomass to sustain the flood.

This is a quote from 343 guilty spark in halo 1 when Master Chief asks 343 Guilty Spark if the halos do kill off the floods food like cortana said. The halos do indeed set off a pulse. I think I've ended this controversy.

* How is it that "Fat Chance" and "Slim Chance" mean the same thing?
* If you choke a Smurf, what color will it turn?

Isn't it 3 times the galactic radii?

No he's right over the past few days there has been a huge debate over how exactly halo wipes life from the galaxy. Most of the idiots insisted on a giant fireball or some sort of radiation.

There is no way it is an explosion. That would wipe out the rings themselfs, but they are still there.(This is of course if the theory that the Rings killed the Forrunners is true).

they dont just kill the flood because i read in a post that some kind of flood is too small to be destroyed...like germs that you cant even see and you cant kill them so they destroy the food
