Guys im thinking about halo PC but I have some questions........

1) To control MC is it difficult (like only being able to use arrow keys or can you use a joystick)

2)Is there a lot of modding making it not fun (like halo 2 XBL)

3) Is there any fees per month etc.

4)Is it laggy

PS Im very new to halo pc so dont fun of me 2 much

1) If you use a keyboard, I'd say no. All you do is use the A, S, D, and W keys to move the chief, and to aim, the mouse. Although, if you don't like the keyboard/mouse setup, you can buy, say, a wired 360 controller and plug it into the USB port, download the software, and configure it to the game.

2) No, only if you're smart to where you look to join servers. The only problem that is averagely large is teamkilling, and that is not that bad.

3) No.

4) Only if the server's host has a bad connection, or you have a bad connection, or you are very far away from the server location. Dedicated servers are much better, they include the Bungie servers and our own Maw server.

Glad to help.

1)You can use a wired 360 controller, but you'll get beat horribly online.

2)There is a lot of modding, but there are still good servers you can find that don't have people using mods.

3)Only your current ISP bill.

4)Yes it is laggy. Gearbox screwed up the netcode. But the best you can do is have a good connection, and find a server with a good connection.

1) If you were using a controller previously then using the keyboard and mouse set up, then it might be a little fustrating the first few days playing, but you'll get use to it.

2) OK, basicly the servers tell you if your modding, and you'll see it when you see the servers with weird symbols in theres names and with the word Modded, those servers are usually maddness, with many many tanks, items placed outside levels, but hey sometimes its fun just ot use massive power weapons. :)

3)Nahh man, its free, but like the above, only your ISP bill.

4)Hopefully you have a dsl connection or else your gonna have high pings and some warping or maybe a ton of warping. However if you do have dsl, then make sure you have a good framerate so it'll be more smooth than the xbox version and it'll appear theres no lag. However then theres the netcode, becasue the company who ported the game screwed it up, you have to lead your shots in front of where the guy goes. Pratice it and it'll become second nature. This is becasue it takes a while even with a ping of 67 a while for the bullet to register into the game to know the person was hit.

However this has two bonuses, one it separaes the unskilled and newbish people from the average players, and from the average from the skilled players, and from the skilled to the expert players, and from the experts to the god-like players. :)

Second, it helps to cut down on cheating as the usual aim botting will not work due to the leading you have to do, this combined with the difficulty of trying to hack on halo due to its unique code makes it one of the most cheat free games in the history modern gaming! :)

Less accurate, the buttons can't be configured exactly like the Xbox version...

we r?

just do the keyboard man, it'll save money, but it takes practice to get really good. Once you start pwning people, it'll be worth it.

By the way, Tango I'm not gonna take your line lol

thanks.. here it comes!!

welcome to the maw, Elimination320!! (one of us! one of us! one of us!)
actually, i think Master Kim came up with that. you should credit him if he came up with it.

the reason you'll get owned with a controller is because there is no autoaim with halo mac/pc, but the xbox/xbox360 version does have autoaim. this is because it is so much easier to aim and snipe with mouse, so putting autoaim into h1pc would be almost cheating.

if you're having trouble making the controller to keyboard/mouse switch, try playing campaign on easy, till you master the controls. then move up to normal, then heroic, then legendary. then, transfer your 1337 elite 9wn20r 5k1ll2 to multiplayer. you'll do much better in multiplayer if you learn the controls in campaign first.
