The best victories are the ones the other side didn't expect.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

Hello all. I've been a little more active on the site in recent times and I've really started to appreciate the community here. This appreciation has piqued my curious nature and I am now constantly trying to get a better idea of the people who use this site.

A big part of it has been reading the Average/Community Joes interviews and Breaking Ins. My question then is, who are you? No need for specifics, just who you are, and why you've decided to stay in the community, or why you just joined the community.

For me, I just wanted the little septagon next to my name in Halo 3 when I first joined. I didn't even know the forums existed at the time. When Reach came out, I got a little more involved in the site because I wanted to change nameplates and gloat my stats (which are exceedingly average). That's when I saw the forums. I started posting every once and a while, trolling, being helpful (not often), and trolling some more. Finally, Foman slapped me with a few warnings for some things and I shaped up. Now, while I do enjoy the occasional troll, I try to be a helpful member and act my age (22).

I love this site and I spend quite a bit of time here because let's be honest, there's not a whole lot to do in Virginia. This is my home away from home, my rest from college, and the place I go when I need some lulz. What about you community?

You are all loved beyond measure.
I, like you, am a light-sound-vibration complex that resonates with others. I have hopes and dreams and ambitions, just like you! I AM, and so are you! Yes, we are one and the same, you and I.

I joined in anticipation of Halo 2. I participated in Optimatch a lot. I then entered a hormonal period in which I fell in love with everyone, and it was during this time that I frequented #moap. I became less active because of college during the Halo 3 era and could be considered something of a pseudo-troll. Now I just seek to edify and entertain in The Flood.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I am a young person.

I am looking out a doorway that has only recently been opened upon the world that lays before me. The wind is rushing in, and the weather is cold, but I do not want to close the door and stay warm. I want to step out, brave the cold, and find something worth finding. I want to find something worth everything.

I've found, recently, that one must not leave everything behind. As almost the fundamental first realization goes, the world does not disappear when you close your eyes, no it flourishes and continues. So to has this community. I came here a child playing a video game, and now I'm just a few years older, still naive in many ways, and I still play the same video games.

I've found that when you look past the immediate mask of anonymity there is this great community full of such a wide range of people and each one of them is different.

I've found that I still come here, though, for roughly the same reason: to pass the time.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

I'm that guy. You know.

Nah, I joined in 2010 after I realized that you didn't actually need a gamertag to join. After a bit, I really started to like this place, so I stayed.

Vote for me for a free cookie.

I came to the website in 2011. I don't remember why, I just did. Then I got into the Halo Reach screenshots. Then I happened to move my mouse over the community forum, went to the flood forum and thats when I got the obsession.

Ask me a question, and I will most likely respond back with false and illogical information not pertaining to said question.

...Who who, who who.

OT: I came to check stats. And now I'm here.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

As many people, I came in Halo 3 for the stats, medal chest, etc. Then I went into the forums, very noob-like. I got a message about a private group, decided to search out some groups on my own for interests I had. Found some groups that I love and have been a part of since I joined over 4 years ago. Though I've changed my interests and what not I still visit those groups daily because of the friends I've made in them, and they've been a huge part of me growing.

And for about a year now I've frequented the Flood. But when a game is in development, I love talking theories and game mechanics and features in the forums. But as it is dark right now, the Flood is my home, I spend most of my time there now, because I'm bored.

I'm 20, Canadian, an artist who sold out for accounting. That's me.

Sev joined for the stats at the dawn of Halo 3 and got hooked by such a wonderful community, there were a lot of rough conflicts while I was here but overall I still love it.

I can't fully remember where I got the name of this site, but I know I came here to be a part of the bungie community. I did that, and I'll keep that up for a while.

I don't know if I'm comfortable getting any more specific than I already have on this site, though.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

hey I'm skyler. I came to get the template for halo 3 and I'm still here because I love this place. I enjoy long walks on the beach and to watch sunsets.
