How come I seem to get really bad FPS in bungie servers.

Earlier in the Bungie.net The Maw Server (and My clan server) I was being happy with 20 FPS when there were huge fire fights (with particles high, texture medium and decals on)

Now in a BUNGIE-CTF server with the same settings I would get around 10 just walking and maybe 5 in a big firefight. Even on low it wasn't that great.

Does FPS normally vary per server?

no, it really shouldn't. check and see if you're running any RAM intensive programs in the back, i.e. AIM or something of the sort.

It might be my RAM optimizer. I just realized it still optimizes when memory gets low (which I don't have much of). I thought i turned it off but apparently not. So maybe it's optimizing while I play games. I'm gonna shut it off and see if that fixes it

FPS is independant of the server. Most likely on the second game you had programs running in the background which eats up RAM. Do CTRL+Alt+Delete and close all the programs in the <User Name> field EXCEPT FOR explorer.exe.

Ya I do that trick before playing *always* ;). I live in the US . It seems that it only happens in full servers. I noticed that in a 5 player bungie server in a big fight it was fine. But when we got to like 8-10 players then it lagged. However there were still only 4 of us fighting.

Your FPS has nothing to do with your network connection so I have no idea why it would be dropping in that server. The videocard is completely independent of your internet connection and basically dont even interact.

What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

I have the perfect solution for bungie servers.
Dont play on them. They are filled to the brim with trash. They basicly are like the getto in NYC or some other random big city.
Yes. The internet getto.

Well. Interesting analogy, ConMan577. Does this include the MAW gatherings, too?

He said nothing about the Maw gathering. If you read it again, he only spoke of Bungie servers.

Anyways, i'm sure this is a connection issue. If you push control F12, you can monitor your framerate under certain loads..(ie many effects simultaneously.) This combined with your pings, can cause inconsistency's during gameplay.
