I havent been to the forums in quite a while... Haven't played halo in quite a while either...
Today i was sitting at my desk, and i looked over at my halo games, all lined up in chronological order.
I thought of all the hours I clocked into those games, playing the campaign over and over on Halo CE.
All the countless custom games I played on Halo 2, from lava monster, to tower of power. I remember gathering up a full lobby to shoot plasma weapons at a triangle in a cave on coagulation. Exploring outside the boundaries of maps. Climbing the stairway to heaven. Flipping a tank rightside up while another was on top of it and watching it fly around the map, and so many other things to list.
Then, Halo 3. the amount of online friends that have come and gone that i met on that game... With forge, making the fun of already awesome custom games endless. The maps were the best of any I've ever played. The racing maps people made were great. Not to mention how fun the matchmaking was.
Then halo reach... I was a bit disappointed in it... It was too different from what i had come to know and love. the campaign was amazing though. I hear people complain about it still to this day, but i enjoyed it. I don't play it all that much, but i visit on the rare occasion for a good custom game or two.
After halo 3 i have become more of a call of duty player, but I will never forget the amount of hours I have been able to enjoy on halo. There is a large space taken up on my lifes timeline filled by Halo, some call video games a waste of time. Yet, everytime i hear that, i think.
"Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted time"
So I thank you Bungie, and i look forward to what ever you have in-store for us in the future. You really have made a difference in the gaming world, and most nerd's worlds. :)
