"Shall we let the Flood consume our holy city? Turn High Charity into another of their wretched hives? No enemy has ever withstood our might. The Flood, too, shall fail."

-Prophet of Truth.

As of now of we know Halo 4 Takes place on some kind of forerunner planet. What I'm hoping is that we aren't on the planet for a couple missions, then we go to some other Halo or something. It would be like Halo 2 where everyone was excited to finally see what Earth was like...... only for two missions lol.

Also I am worried that there is too much info on humanity but not on the other factions..... I'm hoping this isn't gona be a game mainly focused on another human civil war. But of course, only time can tell.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

We will get more than enough Forerunner, don't you worry.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

You do realize the concept art has Forerunner ships flying in it, right?

Well if you looking for some forerunner background here it is and is the lead in to "Halo 4"

The Forerunners the ancient race of enlightened beings that were the creators and builders of the Halo Array, the Arks, and the Shield Worlds, along with the artifacts that were found on the planets Reach. Later in their history, a Forerunner survey team came into contact with an extragalactic parasite known as the Flood on the planet G 617 g.

After this first contact, the Forerunner immediately recognized the great danger that the Flood posed to the entire galaxy and attempted to contain them. However, even they underestimated the potential of the Flood to learn and adapt, believing it to be a non-sentient but highly contagious disease. As such, the attempt to contain the Flood was a failure, as they tried methods more suited to disease control than warfare, trying to contain and quarantine the Flood rather than attack and destroy it outright. They did not start war until it was far too late.

Eventually, the Forerunners created the Halo Array, a weapon of last resort designed to starve the Flood to death by killing all sentient life with enough biomass to sustain them. And that's where the Halo rings come in on "Halo 1,2, and 3".

Straight from the wandering mind of Watson 203

I'm quite sure that the involvement of the Forerunners and them having a major role in Halo 4 is pretty much guaranteed.

Too add to what was said before me, the Forerunners are Tier 1, "World Builders" in their own 7 tier system. The only tier above them is Tier 0, "Transsentient", which is believed by the Forerunners to have only been achieved by the Precursors.
Humans currently are Tier 3, "Space-faring", whereas the covenant are Tier 2, "Interstellar".
The Great Journey would've supposedly lifted all the believers of the Covenant to Tier 1 or Tier 0.
The Prophets always spoke of Forerunners as "Gods" despite there being a Tier higher than they classed themselves, however it's likely that the Covenant didn't know about the existence of the Precursors.

The Forerunners also believed in "The Mantle. They believe it is/was their duty to maintain biodiversity throughout the galaxy and catalogue all life that exists.
The Flood directly opposed this belief by the way it assimilated all sentient life into itself, making it all one of the same and so reducing the biodiversity.
The Mantle may have been passed down to humanity from the Forerunners and could possibly have something to do with humans "Reclaimer" status.
The Mantle wasn't believed by all Forerunners though, the most well known "non-believer" being The Librarian.
It is the basis of their entire governmental system.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

If anything the whole point of Halo 4 is based on the Forerunners being a major plot point.

Halo will be good no matter what.
