Would this not be a great installation for Halo 4? think about it! the community creating their own firefight maps, placing the drop points, weapon drops, spawn points, and everything else! Some may say this is "unrealistic", because its very complicated. But it would be much like creating an invasion map in Halo: Reach.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

I think it would be really cool idea.

I don't think it would work.
Mainly in combination with the AI. AI is somewhat aware of the objects that naturally "belong" in its surroundings, adding new stuff to it, and creating architecture most likely will interfere with that.
I mean, only imagine the simple example of building blocks not lining up correctly (which is very common in Reach)...how do you think the pathfinding script of the AI is going to work with that?
Not saying it's impossible...just very unlikely we'll get it.

I'd rather have a Firefight mode where you get to spend your Cr in game to buy weapon drops, med packs, turrets, mines etc. In other words: a minor form of customization but implemented in gameplay.

If that were to happen you should be able to determine how many phantoms would drop off troops and where they are dropped off. as for scripting paths that should also be something that should be determined by the player.

And besides firfight i would love to see A.I placement in custom games as well.

the thing about that is, the only thing you would/should be able to alter would be the weapons, vehicles, enemy spawns/dropoff sites, or player spawn points

as Don stated, any structural changes could render the AI useless

Grunt: "how the hell am I supposed to get over this giant wall O.o ?"

(unless 343i could somehow program enemy AI that could adapt to absolutely any kind of obstacle course the player throws at them, which i doubt)

that being said, firefight forge would get pretty boring.
