Halo CE: Assault on the Control Room[7b]
I have always liked the enviroments of the level, varying from thight corridors to open canyons. The level also has something no other Halo level has had, the ability to kill every enemy in a room without any of them ever noticing me. All those attributes make it my favorite Halo CE level.
[b]Halo 2: Outskirts
Again, this is a level that holds something truly special. The ability to climb to the rooftops really gives you a whole new arsenal of combat opportunities and even allows you to skip many encounters. Not only has this helped me on Legendary, but killing enemies from the rooftops is fun and interesting way to play.
Halo 3: The Ark
This level, again, gives a good amount of variety. It has two of some of my favorite vehicular battles in the whole franchise. Tank really does beat everything. But the tank battles aren't the only thing that matters. I also enjoy the infantry encounters and especially the beatiful scenery. If I had to give one compliment to the campaign of Halo 3, it would go to the environments, the most beautiful ones I have seen in a game this far.
Halo 3 ODST: Mombasa Streets
Whether you consider it an actual level or not, in my opinion it's the most fun level in the whole game. I always have a lot of fun messing around in the nighttime city. And again, it is one of these truly unique Halo levels, the only one with a true feel of an open world experience.
Halo Reach: The Long Night of Solace
This level showed me no mercy on Mythic, and was eventually the reason I quit trying to complete Reach on Mythic. There is actually even a story to it. I was doing a Mythic run on the level, it was my seventieth try. It was also the longest one that far. I had cleaned the bridge, got to the hangar. I only would've needed to jump on the Pelican turret, then the whole game freezes. After that, I never got to the right mood because of this bitter experience. I hate it, but I love it because it's the only level that has ever beaten me. Concidentally, like most of my favorite levels, it too happens to have an unigue encounter not found in any other Halo level, the space battle. But this has nothing to do with it being my favorite level.
In the end, all of my favorite levels have an important memory to me. But choosing them was though and really made me think all the fun moments I have had playing the camapign of Halo. The best moments are part of these five levels.
