2401 Penitent Tangent=7^4, and 2+4+1+0=7
hmmm 2401 Penitent Tangent sounds familiar to me...
OH YEAH!!!! Derivatives!!!
A derivative is the formula for the slope of a tangent line at any point on the function.
So that’s where tangent applies, but what about penitent?
I know that penitent is: Feeling or expressing remorse for one's misdeeds or sins.
But in the case of Halo 2, it probably is meant as: a person performing penance under the direction of a confessor
In this case, the confessor being the forerunner? Confessing their sins of creating the flood, and doing penance by way of the monitors? However, there is one problem with this. If the monitors are supposed to do penance by wiping out the flood, then why are there still flood on Halo? If creating the flood was such a bad thing, then why keep them on halo where they can re-infect the galaxy?
So anyway, back to derivatives. 7^4 =penitent tangent, and the derivative of 7^4 =28^3, which = 21952 tangent to what?
Tangent to: (this one is a doozie) tangent to the radius of the Halo's firing range!
In Halo 1, 343 guilty spark (which, by the way, equals 7^3, whose tangent = 196, if that means anything) says that Halo installation 04’s firing range was about 20,000 light years, and there are installations bigger than installation 04, so theoretically, 21952 light years could be the diameter of Delta Halo’s firing range, which is 124,610,088,960,000,000 miles (124 quadrillion, 610 trillion, 88 billion, 960 million miles).
Wow!!! i figured that out by myself, i feel good inside now :)
The tangent could also be to the outside of the entire network of rings, or tangent to the inside of them.
So, now we know what penitent tangent is.
But that still leaves the question of “what is the tangent for, and why does penitent describe tangent” unanswered.
