Why was the stat freeze mid-day and not midnight today? It could have been an epic day of matchmaking knowing that as midnight approaches, it is all over. Just curious.

Matchmaking going down has nothing to do with Bungie..or so DeeJ says.

Not what he was talking about.

OT: It happened bit by bit. It started at Midnight though.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with Bungie... you could try the 343i fourms.

I am under the impression that the stat change is by no means instantaneous. It is a process that takes awhile to achieve. From what I can tell, it would have been useless to try and time it exactly to 12:00.

Who the hell do you think I am?

It would probably just be an inconvenience for them.

I don't think it really matters.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Because the Bungie employees do not want to work a graveyard shift because it inconveniences some people. It's better and easier on them if they do it while they're actually working, and not during midnight. They have families too, you know.

Only answer that makes sense. Thanks.

If they wanted to do it later, they could have. That was the point I was trying to make.

Yesterday was your epic day. Blame yourself for not taking advantage of it!

Who said I didn't take advantage of it? This was curiousity, not a complaint. I ended my Reach career at a 2.04K/D and 3,000 games played with a 30ish game winning streak. :D

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

At what approximate time did it start? It most certainly seemed earlier than midday.

Midnight for you isn't midnight for thousands of others. So, a time was chosen that would be convenient to those doing the work.

I meant midnight Bungie's time, obviously.

It's work that could potentially impact multiple teams and multiple critical systems at multiple locations. So, it's scheduled to ensure every necessary element is available in case stuff starts melting.

Perhaps no one wanted to stay at work that late?

He's actually serious. There has been actual melting in the past.
