If I had one wish for Bungie.net, it would be to be able to change my username. Even if it cost me Microsoft Fun-Money, Space Bucks, or Stosh Dollars. That is all.

I had an idea.

What if, we took the old server blades from the Halo stats, and sold them? It's been done with WoW, so why not this? If it happens, I call dibs on first pick.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Bungie will probably use those servers again or they are Microsoft property.

8/5/08 Bungie Favorites- NoEnd
7/1/09 Bungie Favorites- RECON Devil
9/9/09 Bungie Favorites- Champion
5/22/10 HaloCharts Favs- Prey

It'd make a great charity auction or fundraising event. I know I'd want to buy one.

I have no idea what a server blade is, but the stats are still here just not updating, so it may still be necessary to have them around?

  • 03.31.2012 3:44 PM PDT

Probably will be reused for teh Destiny project.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

I would bid $107.77, provided this is sometime in the summer after I get my first paycheck from my summer job.

I don't really know what a server blade is... But why would you want to buy one?

They're essentially what specific info/data is stored on. Blizzard auctioned off old server blades for charity. For example, I played on a server called Auchindoun, and they sold it. That is, they sold what ran the server/stored everyone's stuff. (Of course they only sold it after swapping to new server blades).

So we'd essentially be buying our own (and thousands of others) service records in their "physical" form.
